If you want a dedicated charging cable specifically for older Beats headphones like Powerbeats 3 or Solo 3, choose Podokas USB Charger Cord; if you need a versatile 3-in-1 adapter to share audio and charge modern smartphones in quiet spaces like a library, choose Vcddom USB C.
• Podokas USB Charger Cord: Its biggest strength is providing a specialized, flame-retardant charging solution for legacy Beats devices with micro-jack ports; its trade-off is that it cannot charge or connect to any modern smartphone or headphone model. This pick is strictly for owners of specific older Beats gear who have lost their original cables.
• Vcddom USB C: Its biggest strength is the ability to simultaneously charge a phone via USB-C PD and output high-resolution audio to two sets of wired headphones; its trade-off is that it requires a device with a USB-C port and offers no utility for non-Type-C ecosystems. This pick is ideal for students or commuters needing a single hub for audio sharing and power management.
The Podokas USB Charger Cord is a niche tool designed for a very specific group of users who are still relying on the Beats by Dr. Dre ecosystem from a few years ago. If you own a pair of Powerbeats 3 Wireless, Powerbeats 2 Wireless, or the Solo 3 Wireless Headphones, this cable is engineered to replace a lost or damaged original charger. The product information confirms it is built with a professional-grade design featuring an aluminum alloy shell and PVC flame retardant material, which suggests a focus on durability and safety during repeated charging cycles.
This cable is not a general-purpose accessory. It features a Micro USB connector on one end and a proprietary micro-jack interface on the other, tailored exclusively for the "micro" charging ports found on these specific Beats models. If your device has the standard Lightning or USB-C port, or even the newer Beats interface, this cord will not fit. It is a functional replacement part, measuring 3.9 feet in length, which provides enough slack to charge your headphones while they sit on a desk or nightstand without pulling the unit off the surface.
You should buy this if you have an older Beats headset that uses the micro-jack charging port and your original cable is missing. The built-in safe and quick charging chip mentioned in the specifications aims to protect the battery from aging, ensuring that your older earbuds continue to hold a charge effectively. However, if you do not own a compatible Beats model, or if you are looking for a cable to charge a phone, tablet, or newer wireless earbuds, you must skip this product entirely. It serves a singular purpose: keeping those specific legacy headphones powered up.

The Vcddom USB C adapter addresses a much broader problem faced by users of modern mobile technology: the removal of the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. This 3-in-1 solution combines a dual 3.5mm audio splitter with a fast-charging port into a single, compact unit. It is designed for anyone using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a USB-C port who wants to listen to music, watch movies, or take calls while keeping their device charged. The inclusion of a DAC chip capable of 24-bit/96kHz stereo quality indicates a focus on maintaining audio fidelity, making it suitable for users who care about sound clarity rather than just getting a signal through.
What makes this adapter particularly relevant for shared listening environments, such as a library, is the dual 3.5mm jack feature. You can plug in two pairs of wired headphones and share the audio with a friend or colleague without disturbing others. This functionality aligns perfectly with the needs of someone looking for the best headband headphones for library use, as it allows for silent, shared experiences. Additionally, the inline volume control and call management capabilities mean you retain full control over your audio experience directly from the headphones connected to the adapter. The slim design ensures it does not add significant bulk to your pocket or bag, which is crucial for daily commuters or travelers.
Compatibility is a major selling point here. The adapter supports a wide range of devices, including the latest iPhone models (up to the 17 series), various Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, Google Pixel devices, and tablets like the iPad Air and Mini. It also works with laptops like the MacBook Pro. If you frequently find yourself in situations where you need to charge your phone while listening to audio—such as long flights, road trips, or study sessions in a library—this is a robust solution. The 60W Power Delivery support means it can handle fast charging when paired with an appropriate wall charger, preventing the device from draining while you are using it heavily.

• Best value for versatility → Vcddom USB C, as it replaces three functions (audio output, audio splitting, and charging) in one small adapter.
I would choose the Vcddom USB C for almost any scenario involving a library or public space. While the Podokas cord is a necessary fix for a specific broken cable, the Vcddom adapter opens up new possibilities for how you interact with your devices. In a library setting, being able to share audio quietly with a partner using the dual jacks or using a microphone-equipped headset for a discreet call while the phone charges is invaluable. The Podokas product is too narrow in scope to be a primary recommendation unless you are specifically hunting for a replacement for an old Beats set. I recommend the Vcddom USB C because it solves the modern problem of missing headphone jacks while adding the convenience of simultaneous charging and audio distribution.
