Welcome to Poddo - Live Moments ("Poddo", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a secure, positive experience when sharing moments with your close friends and family. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect your information, and our community safety standards.
1. Age Requirement & Child Safety Policy
Age Restriction: Poddo is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not target, market to, or knowingly collect any personal data from children.
Zero Tolerance for Child Endangerment: We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy against any form of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or content that exploits or endangers children. Any accounts found violating this will be immediately terminated, permanently banned, and reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
2. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Moderation Poddo is a private space for close connections, but user safety is our top priority.
Objectionable Content: Users are strictly prohibited from generating or sharing illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or sexually explicit content.
User Controls: We provide in-app features that allow users to actively Block other users and Report inappropriate content or behavior directly to our moderation team. We act on these reports promptly to ensure community safety.
3. Information We Collect
Authentication Data: We use third-party services (Apple and Google Sign-In) to authenticate your account. We only receive basic profile information necessary for login.
Profile Information: You provide a Display Name and Avatar. Custom nicknames you set for group members are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Camera, Photos, and Media: Poddo requires access to your device's camera and photo gallery to allow you to capture and continuously share live moments (Polaroids) within your private groups.
Microphone & Audio: We access your microphone only when you explicitly record voice messages to attach to your moments.
4. How We Use Your Information
To deliver the core functionality of the app, including displaying real-time images, playing audio, and triggering floating Lottie animations (via Foreground Services) when you receive instant reactions.
To manage group invitations and ensure the strict 10-member limit per group.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Ephemeral Content: Poddo is designed for fleeting moments. For standard (Free) users, all sent photos and voice messages are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers exactly 24 hours after being sent.
Account Deletion: You can request to delete your account and all associated data at any time by navigating to the account settings within the app or contacting our support team.
6. Third-Party Services We use trusted third-party services such as Supabase for database management and secure backend infrastructure, and Firebase (FCM) for push notifications. These services process data securely and only as necessary to operate the application.
