Learn how to perform Renal Ultrasound
Learn how to perform Bladder Ultrasound
Key Points
Renal: evaluate for hydronephrosis
Bladder volume = height x width x length x 0.75
Renal Ultrasound
Transducer: Curvilinear or Phased Array.
[Longitudinal] Point towards patient head at midaxillary line (around 10th / 11th intercostal space)
[Transverse] Rotate 90 degree counterclockwise
Position: patient supine
