Privacy Policy for Pocket Soundbox
Effective Date: April 2026
Ronit Labs ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Pocket Soundbox Android application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Notification Access Permission Pocket Soundbox requires access to your device's notifications to function. This permission is used strictly locally on your device to read incoming payment confirmations from UPI and Banking apps so they can be converted into audio speech.
We DO NOT store your notification data, SMS messages, or financial information on our servers.
We DO NOT share, sell, or transmit your private notifications to any third parties. All text-to-speech processing happens locally on your device.
2. Information Collection and Use For a better experience, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including your Email Address (via Google Sign-In) and a unique Device ID. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy to manage your premium subscription and secure your account. We use third-party services (Google Firebase) that may collect information used to identify you.
3. Log Data and Analytics We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we collect data and information on your phone called Log Data. This may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, and the time and date of your use of the Service.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
5. Contact Us If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at: contact.ronitlabs@gmail.com.
6. To request account and data deletion, please email contact.ronitlabs@gmail.com.
Note : Service Functionality and Reliance on System Notifications The core functionality of Pocket Soundbox relies entirely on the local processing of system notifications generated by third-party payment and banking applications installed on the user's device. Our application requires "Notification Access" permissions to detect incoming payment alerts and trigger the corresponding audio announcements.
Please be advised that Pocket Soundbox acts only as an audio-relay service for these notifications. We are not a financial institution, nor are we directly connected to any banking servers. Therefore, if a third-party payment application is delayed or fails to generate a notification on your device—whether due to network connectivity drops, bank server outages, or device-specific battery optimization settings—Pocket Soundbox will not receive the trigger required to announce the transaction. We do not guarantee audio announcements for transactions that do not successfully generate a system notification on the host device.
