This policy explains what information the Neo Pocket app ("the app", "we") handles, why, and the choices you have.
Neo Pocket is an emulator for classic arcade and handheld games. It does not include commercial games. You can add game files you own, play a free demo game, and play free online web games.
Game files you import, your save games and save states, recently played games, and your settings (controls, keyboard keys, preferences).
This information stays on your device. We do not upload it and cannot access it. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.
The app uses the following services, which may collect information automatically:
Google AdMob (advertising)
Advertising ID, device information (model, OS version, language), approximate location based on your IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostic data.
Used to show ads, measure them, and prevent fraud.

Online web games
The "Play online" section opens HTML5 games provided by a third-party game catalogue (GameMonetize). These games run inside the app and may show their own ads and use cookies or similar technologies, under that provider's privacy policy: https://gamemonetize.com/privacy
Google Play services
Google Play Install Referrer (which campaign an install came from) and Google Play In-App Review (the rating dialog).
App configuration
The app downloads a configuration file and optional game files (free demo games, cover images) from our content server. These requests include standard technical information such as your IP address, which the server may log for security.

To prevent fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
Personalized ads: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to delete or reset your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization.
Local data: delete it any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.
Requests: you can ask us about, or request deletion of, data related to you by emailing us (see Contact). For data collected by Google, Meta or the web game provider, you can also use their own tools and privacy settings.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Information sent by the app and its services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
The app is an emulator and does not include commercial games. Only use game files you legally own. The app is not affiliated with any console maker or game publisher.
The app includes open-source software (including MAME4droid, LibretroDroid and mGBA). Credits and licences are listed in the app under Settings → Credits and licences. The source code of the GPL parts is available on request by email.
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will also be announced in the app or on its store page.
