This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Teleprompter (“we,” “us,” or “the App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Pocket Teleprompter helps you write scripts, scroll them as a teleprompter, and record video on your device.
We design the App so that your scripts and recorded videos stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
We use limited online services for:
App stability, analytics, notifications, and version checks: Google Firebase
Advertising: Unity Ads on Android
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
Teleprompter scripts / prompts you type or dictate
Prompt display settings, including:
Position
Text size
Scroll speed
Subtitle preferences
Recorded videos saved on your device:
App-private storage
On Android, Movies / Pocket Prompter for gallery access
We do not upload your scripts or videos to our servers.
Depending on your device and operating system, the App may request the following permissions:

This data is typically pseudonymous and is not intended to identify you by name or email address. It is processed by Google as described in Google's applicable policies.
On Android, the App displays advertisements through Unity Ads, including:
Banner ads on the home / dashboard screen
Interstitial ads after you finish a recording
Optional rewarded ads before creating a new prompt, which you can skip
Unity Ads and its partners may collect information such as:
Advertising identifiers, such as Google Advertising ID
IP address
Approximate location derived from IP address
Device and app information, including:
Device model
Operating system
Language
App version
Ad performance data, including:
Impressions
Clicks
Completions
Errors
Unity may use this information to serve and measure advertisements and, where permitted, personalize advertisements.
We do not provide Unity with your name, email address, scripts, or video files.
If you use voice typing, the App uses your device's speech recognition service, such as Google on Android or Apple on iOS.
Audio is processed by the applicable speech recognition service to produce text for your script.
We do not store voice audio on our servers.
The speech recognition service may process audio according to Google’s or Apple’s own privacy policies.
You do not need to create an account to use the App.
We do not intentionally collect:
Your name, email address, or phone number, unless you contact us yourself
Precise GPS location
Payment or financial information
Your teleprompter script content or video files on our servers
We use information to:
Provide core features, including:
Teleprompter functionality
Camera recording
Local saving and playback
Voice typing
Improve reliability and performance using Crashlytics
Understand how the App is used using Analytics
Check for required updates and configuration using Remote Config
Send notifications that you have allowed using Cloud Messaging
Show advertisements that help keep the App free using Unity Ads
Respond when you contact us for support
If you use the Share feature, your device's system share sheet may send a video or App link to an application you choose, such as:
Email applications
Messaging applications
Social media applications
Other compatible sharing applications
This sharing is controlled by you. Information shared through those third-party applications is subject to their respective privacy policies.
We use the following service providers:
Google Firebase / Google LLC for Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, and related infrastructure
Unity Technologies / Unity Ads for advertising on Android

We do not sell your personal information.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the App.
Scripts, settings, and videos remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App, subject to your operating system's media-storage behavior.
Videos saved to shared folders such as Movies / Pocket Prompter may remain after uninstalling the App until you manually delete them.
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google Firebase according to Google's applicable retention practices and settings.
Advertising data is retained by Unity according to Unity's applicable retention practices.
Push notification tokens may be retained while the App is installed and notifications are enabled.
The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us. We will take appropriate steps to address the situation.
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through the App, Firebase, and Unity Ads.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Because scripts and videos are stored locally on your device, you should:
Protect your device with a passcode or biometric authentication
Keep your operating system updated
Be careful when sharing videos or other files through third-party applications
You can:
Revoke camera, microphone, speech recognition, notification, or storage/media permissions through your device settings
Disable notifications
Skip optional rewarded advertisements
Delete scripts and recordings inside the App or through your device's file manager
Uninstall the App to remove local App data
Delete media files saved to shared folders separately if they remain after uninstalling
Limit analytics or advertising personalization through your device's Google or Apple privacy settings
Reset or opt out of the Advertising ID where your device provides that option
Opt out of personalized advertisements where your device or Unity provides that option
Depending on your location and applicable laws, such as the GDPR or CCPA, you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data.
You can contact us to make a privacy-related request.
For information processed by Firebase or Unity, some requests may also need to be handled using the respective provider's tools and policies.
If you use the App, technical and advertising data may be processed on servers located in other countries, including by Google and Unity.
These countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.
By using the App, you acknowledge that such international processing may occur as described in this Privacy Policy and the applicable third-party privacy policies.
