Pocjket Envelopes is a personal finance and budget management app that allows users to:
Add monthly income manually
Create custom expense categories (e.g., Rent, Electricity, Groceries)
Set monthly budgets per category
View total savings and monthly savings
Analyse spending patterns through interactive charts
By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Email address and password (via Firebase Authentication)
Monthly income amounts you enter manually
Budget category names and spending amounts
Custom expense records and transaction history
Currency preferences and regional settings
2.2 Data Stored Locally on Your Device Most of your financial data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and device storage. This includes all income, expense, and budget records. This data does NOT leave your device except as described below.
2.3 Data Sent to Our Servers We use Firebase (by Google) only for:
Firebase Authentication — to create and verify your login
Firebase Storage — to back up data for subscribed users
Firebase App Check — to protect our backend from abuse
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your financial data with advertisers or data brokers.
2.4 Automatically Collected Information Firebase may collect limited technical data such as device identifiers (anonymised), app version, operating system version, and crash reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
Create and manage your user account
Provide budgeting, income tracking, and chart analytics features
Sync or restore your data across devices (subscription users only)
Detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents
Improve app performance and user experience
Comply with applicable laws
We do NOT use your data to display advertisements. The App is completely ad-free.
4. Data Storage, Retention & Security
4.1 Local Storage Your financial records are stored on your own device. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data in your device settings.
4.2 Cloud Storage (Subscription Users) Data synced to Firebase Storage is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest using Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
4.3 Retention We retain your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your Firebase data within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.
4.4 Security Measures

Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication — we never see plain-text passwords

Correction — Update or correct inaccurate data directly within the App.
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and cloud data by contacting us. Local data can be deleted via device settings.
Restriction & Objection — Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
Withdrawal of Consent — Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.
Complaints — Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Note: EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss users have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR. California users have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA.
7. Children's Privacy
Pocjket Envelopes is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly in compliance with COPPA and applicable laws.
8. International Data Transfers
Pocjket Envelopes is available in 177 countries. Data processed through Firebase may be transferred to and stored on servers in other countries, including the United States. Such transfers are governed by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Firebase's compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, LGPD, PDPA, POPIA, and other applicable frameworks.
