ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Po-Hao Lu is an assistant professor of land management at Feng Chia University. He received his Ph.D. from National Taipei University in 2023. His research focuses on spatial economics. Beyond urban agglomeration economies and migration, his work spans the spatial economics of automation, valuation, economic evaluation of transportation infrastructure, and regional development.
In the spatial economics of automation, he investigates how workers adjust their residential and workplace choices across geographic space in response to automation shocks, recently expanding this inquiry into dynamic frameworks. Regarding valuation, his research evaluates social housing rent affordability while accounting for commuting patterns; he also seeks to unpack the behavioral assumptions underlying standard valuation formulas to construct a micro-founded valuation theory. For transportation infrastructure evaluation, he assesses the impact of infrastructure on commuting patterns using quantitative spatial economics frameworks. Finally, in regional development, his work centers on urban growth and the dynamic analysis of urban-rural systems.
