Renee' is a highly experienced educator with 34 years dedicated to improving teaching and learning. Her expertise lies in elementary mathematics instruction, formative and summative assessment practices, student engagement, highly effective teaching and learning strategies, analysis of student work, effective questioning techniques, and instructional coaching.
Throughout her career, Renee' has demonstrated a commitment to professional growth and leadership. She served as an Instructional Specialist with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), leading the Southeast/South Central Region KDE Leadership Network system and providing statewide support for the Mathematics Design Collaborative. She has delivered job-embedded professional learning across Kentucky and received extensive training in Cognitive Coaching through the Kentucky Center of Mathematics and the Kentucky Department of Education. Prior to her work with the KDE, Renee' served as an elementary curriculum resource teacher and mathematics coach, as well as an elementary classroom teacher.
Renee' holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8) from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Master of Education in Leadership, Principalship, and Instructional Supervision, also from Eastern Kentucky University. She achieved National Board Certification in 2007 and successfully renewed it in 2017.
