Cynthia is serving as a part-time PIMSER Numeracy Counts Math Leadership Coach (MLC). She brings a wealth of experience supporting principals in both current and past leadership roles, and we are excited to have them on board. She will be coaching five schools in Kentucky and supporting the work of Numeracy Counts.
Professional Career
Cynthia has more than 35 years of experience in Kentucky schools as a middle school mathematics teacher, principal, instructional supervisor, and Highly Skilled Educator. She has served as a principal mentor and leadership coach in various schools and districts in Kentucky and provided guidance to principals as a Turnaround Specialist in struggling schools in other states. She has supported students through push-in intervention, collaborated with teachers to strengthen instruction, and provided professional learning sessions on many topics. Although no longer in the classroom, Cynthia remains a math teacher at heart. Her goal is always to make math more accessible to all students.

Strategies for highly effective teaching and learning practices, working with multilingual learners and diverse student populations, designing and implementing systemic improvement in turnaround schools, and supporting leaders in strengthening their instructional leadership.
