Hotels, Visa, Passport and Transport
Designated Hotels
1. According to the Vietnamese government, PNC conference attendees who are not Vietnamese citizens need to stay at designated hotels, and need to book one of the designated hotels via the travel agent appointed by the local host.
So please check our the designated hotel list and write/call to the travel agent to book your hotel.
Visa
1. According to the Vietnamese government, PNC conference attendees who are not visa-exempt to enter Vietnam need to apply for conference/meeting visa. So please check with your Ministry of Foreign Affairs to see if you need visa to enter Vietnam within your stay.
Notice:
(1) If you don't need visa to enter Vietnam within your stay, then you don't need to apply for conference visa, either.
(2) Any conference attendee who only has tourist visa CANNOT publicly present their paper and/or poster, moderate a panel and/or speech, or openly give a talk at the conference.
2. If you need visa during your stay, we are pleased to help you apply for either one: (1) traditional paper visa; (2)E-visa
(1) Traditional paper visa: if you'd like to apply for traditional visa, please contact us at pnc@gate.sinica.edu.tw and tell us which consulate/embassy where you want to apply and receive your visa. We will inform the local host to issue official document to that location and then you could go to that consulate/embassy for visa application.
(2) E-Visa: if you'd like to apply for E-visa, please contact us at pnc@gate.sinica.edu.tw, and we will inform the local host to issue invitation for you to apply for E-visa.
Photocopy of Passport Photo
1. According to the local host, all PNC conference attendees should hand in their photocopies of passport photo to the local host.
**All personal information collected by PNC is ONLY FOR the purpose of PNC 2025 Conference. We will delete all the collected information immediately after the conference.
Transport
1. It takes about 30-40 minutes to drive from Noi Bai International Airport to your designated hotels. It is suggested that you reserve Taxi pickup service before flying to Hanoi.
**You can reserve taxi service by:
(1) contacting our designated hotel agent, Ms. Nguyễn Thu Hiền, at hien@vivujourneys.com, for pickup service;
(2) asking your preferred travel agency to organize pickup service for you;
(3) using Grab app to call a taxi;
(4) hailing a taxi at the airport.
2. This year, since all the designated hotels are near Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, PNC will NOT provide free shuttle buses for morning commute.
But on the afternoon of 9/22(Mon.), we will provide free shuttle buses for excursion in front of Institute of Social Sciences Information, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. After excursion and closing ceremony, shuttle buses will take everyone back to Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
