Unjust firing of employees is something that happens in today's day and age. It is usually few and far between occurances but it is a problem. Most of the time a employee is fired for not doing their job or breaching their contract but on it is the employer that commits this fraud. Usually by firing an employee for something that their contract specified that they couldn't be fired for, showing favoritism, retaliating at employees for doing something they didn't like or because they just don't like them; to name a few examples. Harassment being being another.
With employee termination it is easy as an employer to avoid wrongful termination. For example following the contracts you give to your employees and putting the right people in charge; harder to do than say. A good way to fix this would be to do something similiar to when an employee gives a two week notice. Instead of outright firing someone (which is warranted in extreme cases but not common for said cases) they submit a review to Human Resources requesting the ability to terminate the employee. Thus this would give the employee several days of notice before being fired and would more than likely drastically reduce unjust terminations.
