Hello! My name is Brooke Jacobs. I am the school counselor at Pecatonica Middle School. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Clarke University in 2019. After receiving my Bachelor's degree, I graduated with my Master's degree in School Counseling from Loras College in May of 2021.

While working towards my Master's degree, I worked as a part-time clinical case manager at FHN Family Counseling Center in Freeport. My job consisted of handling case assignments, researching, referring, and advocating for community resources, assessing clients' needs, situations, strengths and support networks to determine their goals, responding to crisis situations and mental health emergencies, extensive training in Comprehensive Community Based Youth Services (CCBYS), and provided small group and individual counseling using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to 5th and 6th grade students at Carl Sandburg.

My passion is working with children! I love finding fun and interactive ways to teach children skills that will help increase their overall success. My counseling practices include whole school initiatives, individual & small group counseling, professional development, and community engagement. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to share my love of counseling!

When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my husband (Silas), our daughter (Emery), our puppies (Henrietta & Loki), family, friends, and traveling.
