Eligibility for the PMP
There are some requirements that one needs to meet before they can complete the PMP exam. These include:
A bachelor’s degree or a global equivalent
At least 36 months or three years in a non-overlapping and unique professional project management experience
At least 4500 hours spent directing and leading projects
35 contact hours dedicated to project management education done formally.
Or
An associate’s degree, high school diploma, or any global equivalent
At least 60 months or five years in a non-overlapping and unique project management position
At least 7500 hours directing and leading projects
At least thirty five contact hours dedicated to education on project management done formally

The exam has 200 multiple-choice type of questions. The test has to be completed in 4 hours only. The questions are difficult because they are written for a high level of difficulty. This is aimed at testing whether you understand all subjects and whether you are capable of solving problems in real life. There are theoretical and situational questions. There are yet others that include graph drawing and calculations.
