My philosophy of education is that all students who enter my Physical Education classroom are unique. I am obligated as an educator to enter my classroom with high expectations of each of my students so I can bring forth every one of their full potential. Creating this stimulating environment will allow my students to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
I strive to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom. I believe that I owe it to my students, and the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my Physical Education classroom in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in my students. My classroom will be a safe, caring community where children speak their minds, blossom, and grow. I will use strategies to ensure our classroom community will flourish, like positive vs. negative discipline and problem-solving skills. Teaching is a process of learning from your students, colleagues, parents, and the community. This is a lifelong process where you learn new strategies, ideas, and philosophies. Over time, my educational philosophy may change, and that's okay. That means that I have grown and learned new things.
