You might! It depends on how many Wyze Cams you have, the type of cameras you have, and what you're keeping an eye on. If you're picking up a Wyze Cam to record Time Lapse videos of the sky, you're alright with just a microSD card. But if you're keeping an eye out for packages, want to get notifications when a person is detected, or are monitoring your home or property, Cam Plus is the way to go.

And if you're monitoring an area where you want a little extra security, like the garage or front yard, we recommend assigning Cam Plus to your camera. That way you get continuous recording, as well as notifications about the things that matter most to you.

iPhone 6 plus rear camera is not focusing, won't remain stable and is blurry no matter how still I get whether video or picture. Automatic or manual focus not working either. Front facing camera works fine. Seems OIS isn't doing anything but making it worse.

Hello, I was also experiencing this problem and I think that I may have found a solution. While trying to figure out what was wrong, I came here and saw something about the camera lens making a vibrating sound while in any app that had a camera pulled up. I happened to hear this and was figuring out what was wrong. Upon closer inspection of my camera lens, I noticed that my camera wasn't in the correct space. It was to the right of the ring about 1mm. I hit my phone against my wrist in the opposite direction of where the camera was more to and check back in the camera app. To my surprise, my camera was working just fine now. I hope you found the helpful.

That said, the replacement cameras are inexpensive and a quality tech can replace it for you without a problem. It's certainly easier than repairing an iPad, and you'll have a fully functional phone once again! Good luck.

I've been having a continuous battle with this issue. I got my 6 Plus back in September of 2016, on lease from Sprint. I got it and two weeks later Sprint decided to discontinue the 6 Plus from their lineup. I love the phone and had no issues until around the beginning of November 2016 when the camera started having these same symptoms. After doing some reading (in this thread), I called my carrier, they said contacting Apple would be my best bet. I did, and the folks at the Genius Bar fixed it up. About a month later at Christmas time, the camera starts acting up again. I wait to make a repair appointment and talk to Sprint. They tell me again, take it to Apple. I take it to them and they find it odd and go ahead and replace the entire phone with another one. This solves the issue for about three weeks. Symptoms arise again and I call Apple. They seem confused over the phone so I make another appointment. They replace the camera (now in a new device having the same problems) and I take it back with no problem. This was 3 weeks or so ago (it's just now May 4th 2017) and I am experiencing the same phone malfunctions AGAIN! Not very happy with the product I jumped for. I left a cheaper prepaid plan with a fully functioning Android device to "upgrade" to the iPhone, with which I'm having highly unexpected hardware issues.

Hello , I have been having the same problem with my iPhone , with its back camera not focusing and being wobbly as well, and when you try taking a picture with the back camera you can listen to a little sound . Do I go to the Apple Store to get it fixed or a replacement ?

Lenovo has launched the latest model of its Moto sub-brand at the Mobile World Congress. The Moto G5 Plus is the successor to last year's Moto G4 Plus and, like its predecessor, an upper mid-range device that puts a lot of emphasis on camera performance. For the new model's camera resolution has been reduced from 16MP to 12MP and, with a 1.4m pixel size, on-sensor phase detection and very fast F1.7 aperture, the main camera specifications look very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7's minus the optical image stabilization.

On the video side of things the camera is capable of recording clips with 1080p Full-HD resolution and front camera specification remains unchanged with a 5MP sensor and F2.2 aperture. Compared to the predecessor the size of the IPS display has been reduced from 5.5" to 5.2", making the G5 Plus a little more compact, but the 1080p Full-HD resolution remains unchanged. The metal frame is a little more sturdy and gives the entire device more of a premium touch than its predecessor.

We have had the chance to use the Moto 5G Plus for a few days before launch and were impressed by the speedy general operation and how solid the new model feels in the hand. We have also shot a good number of sample images with the camera in a variety of situations.

Thanks to its fast aperture the Moto G5 Plus can keep the ISO low in indoor scenes like the one below. That said, in low light the camera is slightly more prone to camera shake than models equipped with optical image stabilization.

The camera's white balance system deals well with artificial indoor lighting. In the ISO 250 image below fine detail is starting to suffer a little bit but both luminance and chroma noise are very well under control.

For low-light shots like the one below, shutter speed is reduced to 1/15 sec and the camera engages a multi-frame night mode. There is now noticeably more noise in the image, especially the shadow areas, but the overall tonality is very pleasant and edge detail is still very well defined. The Moto G5 Plus is performing well in these light conditions.

Panorama mode remains a bit of a weakness in the Moto camera app. The images tend to show good exposure and color but, compared to some competitors, are pretty small. In scenes with several moving subjects ghosting artifacts are almost unavoidable.

Why would you keep repeating that F-number without mentioning the sensor size (crop factor), as if it would mean anything? Aren't you supposed to have a clue about how cameras work, DPR? Do *I* have to link to *your* own page on equivalences for you to remember that the F-number means *nothing* without knowing the sensor size, particularly when doing auto-exposure?

Using Moto G5 Plus for about a month (SKU: XT1684 3GB RAM w/ 32GB). IMHO it is a great camera phone. However there is one major shortcoming that is overlooked in most reviews -- it lacks a compass sensor! For some it might not be an issue; for others it is more serious.

2 smartphone functions are affected by this:

1) Great photo location planning apps exist (e.g., Sun Locator Lite on Android). The sunrise/sunset time & location (or that of the moon) can be seen on a map overlay or even more useful using augmented reality and you phone's camera. However, without a compass sensor the latter will not work!!!

2) GPS Navigation: Without a compass/magnetometer sensor a GPS Mapping app cannot work out which direction you are facing. It is only when you are moving (some distance) that the software will work out your direction. Rotating on the spot will not change your app's direction pointer! As a photographer in an unfamiliar city it can prove frustrating finding your way around on foot.

I'm in a similar position. The lumia 925 has served me really well but I'm sick of the lack of aps for windows. I'm going back to Android and this seems to be the best option but I'd love to know the camera comparisons.

This will probably be my next phone.

I have the G3 and It's a good cameraphone, I especially like the motorola camera app with the easy exposure compensation, and quickstarting the camera via handmotion or double tap on the powerbutton.

yes it's good. i run cyanogen, getting ready for lineage. unfortunately underpowered phone but good camera. i expected more megapixels for more detail. i was happy to switch from 8mp galaxy s3 to 13mp moto g3. Shoot mostly in HDR.

I think you'll be very happy. I upgraded from a G3 to a G4 Plus and although it took some adjustment to get used to the larger size, I love it - camera, battery, display all superior. The G5 Plus with its slightly smaller size should be even easier to move over to and love. Heck, I'm even considering moving over to it.

the table thats linked includes sensors down to 25 sqmm like the moto G5 ,

but only the cheapest p&s used those , they were the smallest sensor used by the camera industry, but 1\1.7 once were enthusiast sensors.smaller apple sensors are not camera grade

high marks for the sanity of retaining a headphone jack currently used by 99 % of the human race,& the luxury of a sd slot almost as widespread.

This might be my next phone. I am most interested in upgrading from my Nexus 5 for camera quality, storage, and battery life. It would be nice to have more than 2GB RAM, but the 64GB version of this ticks pretty much all boxes for me and the price looks good.

yes id be the first to admit that even apples tiny sensor can look striking at iso 20... and multi shot merge and hdr shot merging some androids do it well but apples cooking is among the best .... they process well android could well learn a thing or 2 .... but it does not diminish my disdain for the camera sensor apple uses ... with their financial resources their excellent design and camera dept and their cost per unit they could do so much more for their users

I don't think that the future is about larger sensor size and larger apertures because they don't want to make thicker smartphones. Rather quad-cameras,... and lag-free multiframe noise reduction/HDR tiff/raw files.
