INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING?
The Dance Team Audition Form for the 2026-27 season will be available from June 15-30. If you have any questions, please contact us at pludanceteam@plu.edu for more information.
DANCE TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
Halftime performances at various sporting events (such as Football games, Basketball games, etc.)
Perform a piece in the Fall dance show with the team
Team practices twice a week (times are TBD)
An individual practice once a week
Participation in fundraising
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED SKILLS:
While there is list of skills, if you cannot complete all required skills please attempt what you feel comfortable doing. We want to see what your capabilities, and encourage you to audition no matter your skill level or experience!
REQUIRED:
Double pirouette Right and Left
Right, Left, Center leaps
Calypso Right or Left
Fire Bird Right or Left
Kicks Right and left
Kick Mobility
PREFERRED:
Second Turns (either side)
Toe Touch
Tilt Right or Left
Turning disc
Tumbling (Cartwheel, Aerial, Headspring, Back Handspring, Kip-Up, etc.)
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT TO AUDITIONS?
If you cannot make it in-person, we will work with individuals on a case by case basis. Please email us explaining your situation and we will follow up with you as soon as we can. Please email by September 5th for an extenuating circumstance consideration.
