MIT Physics of Living Systems hosts PLS Short Talks, an engaging discussion series encompassing a diverse range of topics in physics, biology, and ecology.
Time: Fridays 4pm-5pm
Location: MIT Building 4-332, Physics of Living Systems lobby
The series usually hosts two speakers every Friday, with 25 minutes for each talk (15-20 minutes plus 5-10 minutes of discussion). Questions will be asked during the talk.
Most speakers present with slides, while chalk talks are also welcomed.
This is an informal space, and half-baked ideas are as welcome as fully formed stories.
Our seminar attendees are predominantly graduate students, with smaller groups of undergraduates and postdocs, typically from the Fakhri, Gore, and Tailleur labs.
After the talks, we also host a Happy hour for continued discussions between the speakers and the audience.
The discussion series is organized by MIT PLS fellows.
Use this form if you are interested in joining the PLS mailing list. The talk series is open to researchers outside MIT PLS.
