This Privacy Policy explains how Plot Becho collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the plotbecho mobile application (the “App”), a marketplace for browsing and listing plots of land in India. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide

Account details: your name, mobile phone number, and (if you sign in with Google) your email address, Google account ID, and profile picture URL.
Profile preferences: your default city, preferred language, and whether you allow WhatsApp contact.
Listing content: when you list a plot, the details you enter — title, description, price, size, address, city/area, photos, and a contact phone number for buyers.
Saved plots (wishlist): the plots you save for later.

How listing details are shared: The details of a plot you list — such as the title, description, price, location, and photos — are shown to other users browsing the App. Your contact phone number is not shown publicly; it is shared with a prospective buyer only when that buyer chooses to contact you about your listing.

b. Information collected automatically

Usage & analytics data: we use Google Firebase Analytics to record which screens you view and general app-usage and session information, along with standard device identifiers (such as an app-instance ID, device model, operating-system version, and approximate region) provided by Google Analytics for Firebase.
Install referrer: on first launch we read the Google Play install-referrer to open a shared plot link you may have tapped before installing. This is used only for that purpose and is not stored on our servers.
Authentication tokens: a secure session token is stored on your device to keep you signed in.

c. Location

With your permission, the App uses your device’s location to a single end: to detect the nearest city we cover, so we can show relevant plots. This matching happens entirely on your device. We do not transmit, store, or share your precise GPS coordinates on our servers — only the resulting city name is used within the App. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the App remains usable, and you can select your city manually.

Note: the map coordinates shown for a plot are supplied by the person who listed that plot — they are not derived from your device location.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
To display, search, and recommend plot listings relevant to you.
To let you create listings and let buyers contact you.
To save your wishlist and remember your preferences.
To understand how the App is used and improve its performance and features (analytics).
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described below:

With other users: your listing details and photos are visible to users browsing the App. Your contact phone number is shared only with a prospective buyer who chooses to contact you about your listing — it is not displayed publicly.
For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account and listing data is stored securely with reputable cloud service providers on servers located in India. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and listing information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. We retain certain data longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and update: you can view and edit your profile (name, photo, city, language, WhatsApp preference) within the App.
Wishlist: you can add or remove saved plots at any time.
Permissions: you can grant or revoke location and photo-library permissions in your device settings.
Account and data deletion: to request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email us at app.plotbecho@gmail.com from the email or with the phone number associated with your account. We will verify your request and delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
