Seniors - Requirements for Life (Sealbearer) Membership (special recognition at graduation for Active Members):
A Life Member or Sealbearer (the terms are used interchangeably) is a student who has earned at least four semesters of membership based on grades earned in 10th through 12th. However, two active senior year semesters are required.
Active Membership Sealbearer Gets:
Wear Life Mate Pin
Gold Seal on Diploma
Notation on Transcript (and on permanent academic record)
Eligibility for special CSF life membership scholarships
(You do not need to be an Active member to be Life Member)
For Active Members-
• They contribute to the goals of the club: Scholarship for Service
• Attendance at no less than 2/3 of CSF meetings (per semester)
• Participate in minimum of 1 collective project (per semester)
• Participate in individual service projects with documentation
• A minimum of 15 hours per semester (collective+individual)
Benefits of Active Membership:
• Special distinction at graduation: you will be seated at the front and will be exclusively recognized for your service. (Minimum of 4 semesters of Active Membership including 2 Semesters Senior year required)
• Will be able to wear the distinction of CSF colors and regalia
• Will be able to cite membership on college applications, including service hours
• Will take pride in being able to make a difference in the San Diego community
• Commendation for your service in other ways!
• Junior year Active members can use the experience in letters of recommendation
• Pride in knowing you are living up to expectations
