Charity
From its earliest days Freemasonry has promoted charitable work and today we make a major contribution to society locally, nationally and internationally. Freemasons are reminded of the importance of charity and care for those less fortunate than ourselves from the moment we join and the practical application of this includes donations to local and national charities and volunteer outreach in the local community. This is especially true of the brothers of Pleasantville Hiawatha #434.
Some of the many charities we support financially or through volunteer outreach:
- Pleasantville Strong
- St. Baldrick's Foundation
- Pleasantville Fund for Learning
- Pleasantville Community Scholarship Fund
- Pleasantville Middle School
- Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department
- Police Unity Tour
- Pleasantville Food Pantry
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
- Pleasantville Friends of the Performing Arts
- American Red Cross
- Masonic Military Outreach
