Greetings! My name is Anna Bitzinger (but please feel free to call me Ms. Bitzinger, Ms. Bitz or Ms. B), and I am so grateful to be the K-5 Art Teacher at Pleasant Lake Elementary ! I graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Art Education (K-12). In my nine years of educating, I have taught both elementary and middle school art. In my spare time, I love to paint, play guitar and spend quality time with my pet bunny, Pickles.

In my classroom, it is my goal that students are able to explore their own voice and self-expression. I feel it is so important for students to have this creative outlet. I believe that there are numerous ways to explore and expand your mind within the arts, no matter your preconceived notion of artistic ability. Students in my classroom receive a curriculum that is rich in culture, art history, art techniques, and diverse art materials.

I look forward to growing, learning, and contributing right alongside my students and I know that we have a fantastic year ahead of us.
