1. Who we are

PlayUp - Play Sports Together is operated by Jules Vandenbrande (eenmanszaak), based in Leuven, Belgium. Contact: jules.vandenbrande@gmail.com

2. What data we collect

• Account data: first name, last name, username, and email address

• Location: your GPS coordinates to show nearby sports fields and nearby players (only while using the app)

• Region: your municipality and country for leaderboards

• Videos: recordings of your sports games, stored on your device and in our cloud

• Match data: scores, ELO ratings, wins, losses, and competition history

• Social data: friends list, friend requests, and notifications

• Chat messages: messages sent in sports venue chats

• Device token: a push notification token to send you game notifications

• Sports venues: locations and details of venues you create in the app

3. Why we collect it

• To create and manage your account

• To find sports games and players near you

• To generate highlight videos of your matches

• To display local and global competition rankings

• To send push notifications about your games

• To enable the friends and social features

4. Who we share it with

• Firebase (Google): for authentication, database, cloud storage, and push notifications

• Mapbox: to display the map (your location is processed locally for map display)

• We do not sell your data to third parties

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion by emailing jules.vandenbrande@gmail.com.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a Belgian/EU user you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact jules.vandenbrande@gmail.com for any requests.

7. Children

This app is not intended for children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

PlayUp – Delete Your Account

To delete your PlayUp account and all associated data:

1. Open the PlayUp app

2. Go to Settings

3. Tap Delete account

4. Confirm the deletion

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you can no longer access the app, email us at jules.vandenbrande@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account" and the email address or username associated with your account, and we will delete it within 7 days.

What gets deleted: your profile, play history, friends list, chat messages, and notifications.

What may be retained: [none / anonymized data / anything you're legally required to keep, e.g. transaction records — adjust based on reality]

Retention period: data is deleted immediately upon request.
