Quick Rules

Drop Ball

    • The game begins with a "Drop" ball. The ball is dropped between one player from each team at the center of the field. Each player tries to be the first to hit or grab the ball after it ricochets off the ground.

Game Play

    • No one is allowed to touch(block, catch or intercept) the ball until after it ricochets off the ground. This means the defense is to guard the receivers, not the thrower.

    • If any player touches the ball before it ricochets off the ground, the other team gets the ball at the spot of the violation (thrower may not intentionally throw the ball at a player from the opposing team).

    • There are two styles of gameplay to choose from:

      1. The offense is allowed to run with the ball and the defense stops the ball carrier by pulling flags or "two-hand touch"

      2. The ball is advanced by passing; moving with the ball is a violation.

    • If the ball goes out of bounds or a player in possession of the ball goes out of bounds, it is the other team's ball at the boundary line where it went out.

    • Kicking the ball is prohibited.

Scoring

    • Each goal is surrounded by either one or two "shot" lines.

    • Each goal must be shot behind the "shot" line and is worth:

      • One point if behind the inner line and hits the bottom of the net

      • Two points if shot behind the outer line and hits the bottom of the net

        • Points are doubled if the ball goes through the center opening.

    • Two defenders are allowed to defend the goal by standing to the side of the goal’s legs and trying to block the shot after it ricochets off the ground. If the defender touches the ball before it ricochets off the ground, the shooter gets a free shot on goal.
