Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the PlayOye app for mobile devices (Android and iOS), together with any related services, operated by Hamza Mahmood (collectively, the "Application"). Hamza Mahmood is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider."
Effective date: August 29, 2026
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This includes:
Basic connection information inherent to any network request, such as your device's IP address, made when the Application communicates with its backend
Your mobile device's operating system and general device type, used to ensure the Application functions correctly on your device
The Application does not use dedicated analytics tools to track which screens you visit, how long you spend on them, or your in-app behavior over time.
The Application does not use cookies, tracking pixels, third-party analytics SDKs, or advertising SDKs of any kind. It does not build advertising profiles and is not ad-supported.
With your permission, the Application accesses your device's precise or approximate location for a single specific purpose: to help auto-fill a location when you create or join a squad.
Purpose-limited use: Location data is used only for this feature — it is not used for advertising, analytics, or building a history of your movements.
Foreground only: The Application does not access or track your location in the background or when the Application is closed.
Your control: Location access is optional. You can decline the permission or revoke it at any time in your device settings; some convenience features may work less smoothly without it.
No third-party sharing of location: Your location data is stored on the Service Provider's backend infrastructure (see "Third Party Access" below) and is not shared with advertising or analytics third parties.
The Application is a social, sports-coordination app. As a core part of how it functions:
Your name, profile photo, skill level, and participation in public games, tournaments, and squads are visible to other users of the Application.
Messages you send in a game or squad chat are visible to other members of that same game or squad while it exists.
Chat messages are automatically deleted after 24 hours and are not retained by the Service Provider beyond that window.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. To exercise these rights, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com.
The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important service notices and required notices related to your account and use of the Application. The Service Provider does not send marketing communications.
For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to: full name, email address, Google User ID, phone number, date of birth, gender, profile photo, city, address, precise/approximate location, skill level, and bio. This information is retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
The Service Provider shares information only as follows:
With the Service Provider's backend infrastructure provider, Supabase, which stores and processes Application data (including your account, profile, and activity data) on the Service Provider's behalf, under its own security and privacy terms, strictly to provide the Application's functionality.
With Google, for Google Sign-In authentication.
With other users of the Application, as described in "Visibility to Other Users" above — this is inherent to the Application's core social functionality, not a third-party data sale.
The Service Provider does not periodically transmit aggregated or anonymized data to external analytics or advertising services, because no such services are integrated into the Application.
The Service Provider's third-party service providers (Supabase, Google) may process personal data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider relies on appropriate mechanisms, including:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
Adequacy decisions or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms
Your consent, where required and legally permitted
The Application utilizes the following third-party services, each of which has its own Privacy Policy governing how it handles data:
Google Play Services / Google Sign-In — https://policies.google.com/privacy
Supabase (backend hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure) — https://supabase.com/privacy
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
when the Service Provider believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a lawful government request;
with trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider's behalf (see "Third Party Access"), who do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and who have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy policy.
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device going forward, but it does not automatically delete information already transmitted to the Service Provider.
To request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com.
The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:
Chat messages: Automatically deleted after 24 hours.
User Provided Data (profile, account, activity): Retained for the duration of your use of the Application, plus 12 months thereafter, unless you request earlier deletion or longer retention is required by law.
Basic connection/security logs: Retained for a limited operational period as needed for security and reliability purposes.
Data required for legal compliance: Retained as long as required by applicable law.
You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it, by contacting hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com. Some User Provided Data may be required for the Application to function properly.
You can request deletion of your personal data or account by contacting the Service Provider at hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." The Service Provider will process your request within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Upon verification of your identity, the Service Provider will delete your personal data from its systems, except where retention is required for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes.
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them, and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 in violation of applicable law.
If the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal information, the Service Provider will promptly delete it from their systems. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided the Service Provider with personal information, please contact hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com so appropriate action can be taken.
The Service Provider takes the confidentiality of your information seriously and applies reasonable technical and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes and maintains, including encryption of data in transit and database access controls that restrict users to only the data they are authorized to see. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Privacy Policy with a new effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect. Previous versions of this Privacy Policy are available upon request by contacting hamzamahmood1261@gmail.com.
This privacy policy is effective as of August 29, 2026.
Where processing is based on consent, you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action (for example, granting a location or photo library permission). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Processing based on other lawful bases is carried out as described above.
