PlayLess: Gaming Time Limit ("PlayLess", "the app") helps you limit the time you spend playing games on your Android device. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
PlayLess does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. The app has no account, no advertising, no analytics and does not request internet access. Everything the app uses stays on your device.
App usage information (via Android's Usage Access permission): which apps were in the foreground and for how long. This is used only to calculate your gaming time, enforce your daily limit, bedtime and break reminders, and show your statistics.
List of installed apps: used only to detect which apps are games and let you choose which apps count toward your limit.
Your settings (daily limit, bedtime, break interval, tracked apps) and daily gaming totals are stored locally in the app's private storage.
None of this information ever leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
Usage access – to measure time spent in games.
Display over other apps – to show the "Time's up" screen on top of a game when your limit is reached.
Notifications – for break reminders, limit warnings and the ongoing "PlayLess is on" status.
Foreground service & run at startup – so your limits keep working in the background and after a restart.
Query all packages – to find the games installed on your device.
Data is kept only on your device. You can delete all of it at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling PlayLess.
PlayLess does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
