SEPTEMBER SCHEDULE + NEWS

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Hello everyone! Here we are, at the beginning of a season where we have NO idea what to expect, especially for the schooling and socialization of our little ones. I applaud you as parents for staying creative, flexible, and innovative as you nurture and raise your families. As a part of the alternative education world, the last few weeks have brought me face to face with many important decisions and unanswered questions. So I've done my best to figure out schedules and formats to best support the variety of demands for my programs that I have received. I hope you find something that suits your lifestyle this season, because I miss each of you dearly and love staying connected! Here's what I've got so far:

SCHOOLS

Whether it be through PTA, Arts and Ed, Phys Ed, or otherwise- I am happy to jump back into serving schools in a variety of ways. Email for details, pricing, and booking. If you are involved in a school, you can get PlayLab programs:

-in person but socially distanced, preferably outdoors

-during virtual home learning, joining your virtual classroom

-during in-class learning, but I would be on your smartboard

HOMESCHOOL PODS

I am happily joining several homeschool pods! Weekly, monthly, or as a one-time special guest. I will align with your curriculum and discuss relevant topics to whatever you are learning. Email for details, pricing, and booking. (Note: please see attached PDF ad for a local homeschool pod in search of likeminded families!)

-scout troops / groups

PRIVATE PLAYDATES

This would be for groups of families or friends hanging out, but it is essentially the same thing as a homeschool group in terms of booking. The only difference is that homeschool groups would select a learning topic for me to focus on. Email for details, pricing, and booking.

-weekly / biweekly / monthly, or as a one-time event

-must be able to accomodate outdoor / socially distant class

-must have 3 students minimum

-can be done on zoom instead (see zoom section below)

PARTIES / EVENTS

Birthdays or events are still a big part of PlayLab. Must be outdoor / socially distanced. Themes, crafts, and games can be customized to the birthday kiddo! Email for details, pricing, and booking.

LIVE ZOOM CLASSES

Our Zoom classes stayed strong all summer, so I am happy to continue them through the fall. I am thinking of switching to Fridays... if you are currently in my Zoom classes, we will touch base privately to confirm. Final schedule will be in my next email.

-Fri 10:30 ages 2-6

-Fri 11:15 ages 7-10

-Fri 12:00 ages 11-14

(let me know what you think!)

--private "playdate" zoom classes are totally easy for me to put together too if you prefer that instead of the in-person "playdates"

FARM CLASSES

Benner's Farm was a big hit in July! We had to pump the brakes due to the large storm in the beginning of August, then the weather was too brutal, and then I took off a few weeks to prep for the school year. But I am thinking of doing Wednesday or Friday evenings at the farm. If you are interested in farm classes, please let me know! Final updates will be in my next email. We aim to start these classes the week of 9/7 or 9/14.

STUDIO CLASSES

Studio classes are still on pause, as Carmen and Maria are making their CDC updates to both of their respective studios. They are both doing an amazing job! If / when I decide to hold studio classes again, I will send an email asap. As for now, there are no studio classes in september.
