SEASONS AND WEATHER

It is winter. In winter the weather is very cold. It snows in winter. The days are short and the nights are long. The streets, the houses and the trees are white. Children play snowballs and make snowmen. In winter schoolchildren have holidays. They do not go to school. The first of January is the New Year's Day. For this day children decorate a New Year Tree. They decorate it with toys and lamps. They get presents. All children like winter holidays.

It is spring. It is a good season. It is a warm season. The sky is blue. The sun shines brightly. The weather is fine. Sometimes it rains, birds sing in the trees. The forests, the fields and the trees are green. People love spring. They go for walks. Children play out in the yards.

It is autumn. In autumn it is usually cool. The cold weather begins. The sky is grey. There are clouds in the sky. Cold winds blow. It often rains in autumn. The trees are yellow, red and brown. In autumn there are a lot of fruits. There are a lot of apples, pears, and plums on the trees. Children like fruit. They gather fruit and eat them. Holidays end in autumn. Schoolchildren go to school. A new school year begins.
