We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PlayiFy handles user information.

PlayiFy - Privacy Policy

PlayiFy Netwrok Stream  is a video player app that allows users to play, test, and stream video content via user-provided playlists or streams. Users provide their own video URLs or playlists; PlayiFy does not host, distribute, or stream content on its own servers. The app enables custom settings like DRM, headers, custom icons, local storage of playlists and settings, and supports many video formats for playback.

Data Collection

What data is collected

• No personal information: PlayiFy does not collect names, emails, or other personal identifiers.

• No user accounts or authentication: There is no login.

• Local data only: Playlists, history, settings, icons are saved locally on the device, not on remote servers.

• No analytics or tracking unless explicitly added—and currently none is included.

Permissions used & their purpose

• INTERNET: Required to fetch streams from user-provided URLs or playlists.

• WRITE_SETTINGS: Used only if the user changes system or player settings that require this permission.

• Device feature declarations (leanback, touchscreen, television etc.): to support different device types (TV, touchscreen, etc.).

• No sensitive permissions (location, contacts, microphone, camera etc.) are requested.

Data sharing & third-parties

• PlayiFy does not share data with third parties.

• No external servers are contacted with personal or user playlist/usage data.

• The app uses the Media3 (AndroidX Media) library for video playback, and DRM/licensing components where required by the content—but PlayiFy itself does not transmit user data.

Streaming & Content Ownership

• PlayiFy is a media player only. The app does not host, upload, provide, or distribute any video or media content.

• All content played in PlayiFy comes from user-provided URLs, playlists, or streams. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to access and stream such content.

• PlayiFy does not endorse, verify, or control any external streams added by users.

• If a stream or playlist violates copyright or other legal rights, it is the responsibility of the content provider or user—not PlayiFy.

Children’s Privacy

• PlayiFy is not specifically designed for children, and does not target users under 13 (or the equivalent age in other jurisdictions).

• We do not collect any personal information from children.

• If content is played by children, PlayiFy still does not collect, track, or share personal data.

• We comply with Google Play Families & Children policy: no tracking, no device identifiers from children or unknown age users.
