Hi, i am an architect and my family owns a playground and urban furniture company. But they mostly use autocad. But i want to take things a little further and help them. I am good at Revit, Rhino, Sketchup, Autocad etc. I can model most things in Rhino but those models are not really production ready and not parametric. I have been searching Fusion 360 and Solidworks(too expensive for us tho) and Fusion seems nice but i could not find much information about playgrounds and software choices. Btw all of our products are made of wood except some parts like slides etc. We use CNC a lot. So should we use Rhino or Sketchup for this type of job or learn Fusion, Solidworks or something else?

I work for a playground company who exports from Solidworks to Autocad as .dwg. We have over 500 different products and currently, my workflow is to turn every material group in 3ds max 2018 by converting to Edit Poly and selecting the different material ID's into a Vray material from a local Vray library. However, I feel there must be an easier way.

To make this short, I have some playground objects made in AutoCAD with polylines I assume, but definitely not polygons. What I need is to be able to export those objects as OBJ with polygons, so I can simplify them in Blender, in order to use them in a browser app.

I have been meaning to post about the modern Isamu Noguchi designed playground in Atlanta for a while. Over spring break my husband and I visited Atlanta again and I finally made it to to view this wonderful play area. In our field Mr. Noguchi is better known for this furniture piece.
