We are two high school students who’ve always believed that youth can lead change. As we looked around, we noticed that university research is critical to solving big challenges in today's world. However, these programs often lack funding and support. Our purpose is to support these programs as best we can through local fundraising.

One day, we asked ourselves: What if we could turn something we love, playing games, competing in sports, and bringing people together, into a way to raise money for research? And from that question, Play for a Purpose was born.

What started as a small idea between two friends has now grown into a nonprofit with a mission to help fund university research through community events and fundraisers. We are passionate about bringing people together and showing that even as high school students, we can make a difference by supporting the incredible work happening at local universities.

Our journey is just beginning, but we know that through determination, creativity, and the power of community, we can support researchers who are shaping the future.

At Play for a Purpose, we envision a world where young people, like ourselves, can take action and make a real difference. We believe in the power of play to unite communities, and in the transformative potential of research to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Our vision is to create a future where everyone, regardless of age or background, can contribute to advancing knowledge. Through fun and engaging events, we aim to raise funds for university research, making an impact that lasts far beyond the game. Although we are currently working at a small scale, we aim to make a true impact in the future.
