The Platonic Academy Library is an interdisciplinary collection of texts and media that PAL Academicians consider to be most meaningful for the academic and artistic endeavours of The Platonic Academy London. The Library is an evolving work-in-progress, which will evolve as the Academy itself evolves; updates shall be posted to the catalogue below, often with links for viewing or borrowing through the Internet Archive and Open Library. Please note that a (free) login may be required.
Pictured above is a detail from Raphael's The School of Athens (1509-11) showing, on the left, the figures of Pythagoras the mathematician and Archimedes the engineer, with Averroes and Boethius or Empedocles looking over them, in the center, the figure of Parmenides the philosopher, and, on the right, the figure of Heraclitus the philosopher, here in the likeness of Michelangelo the artist.
