do i deserve a blog?
07.07.26 // 12 she's coming home yeah?
it is the third summer in a row that i am spending obsessing over England. i have an ostensible and deep-rooted desire to be a brit. it's just so alluring, really. for the past two days i've been listening to chelsea dagger non-stop, on saturday i am going out to watch england play in the world cup. anglomania is such a summer feeling for me and i just can't and don't want to resist it.
and it's truly horrible and obscene. i've never been to England, i don't like colonialism and i don't even find the country to be all that enticing, in fact i hate it a fair bit and it is the complete opposite of what i would want in a place. it's grimy, gnarly, quite nasty at times, and everything about it elicits a feeling of decay. and yet i can't help it. i love the clash and the sex pistols, i love the gallaghers, both chav and posh cultures are equally incredible and disgusting to me. i want to root for harry kane to score a goal, i want a pint, i crave violent acts against nigel farage, i want insanely humid summers with no air conditioning and a ban on vapes.
and, oh, it's so torturous. moscow is nothing like london or manchester, i imagine. it's nasty in its own way, of course, but i highly doubt it's the same kind of nasty as doing heroin, stepping out onto the street as you start getting severe withdrawals along with your mate Oliver who gets affectionately called Olly by virtually everyone you know, and seeing Birmingham laid bare before your eyes. but I dont get that in Moscow, obviously. it's stale, uninteresting and deeply artificial. simultaneously it lacks the dirt and is so dirty that you want to puke your guts out. and from this cage I dream of London, profusely and desperately, like a man dying of thirst and asking somebody to waterboard him with piss.
01.07.26 // 11 da real art etc
also, thinking about them today, kind of. as any white man of no extraordinary quality, i have opinions on art and its creation.
i read EQ's interview for 032c today while at work (as one does), and, other than being inspiring in many ways, i think it's quite striking to see how their art comes to be, and i genuinely think it's, like, a bit eye-opening, at least to me. they are just so so SO convicted, really, in what they want their music to represent, how they want it to feel, overall in their vision. and i guess I've just never thought about how all encompassing and sort of layered it is for talented artists. how much just, like, your belief in what you want your art to represent reflects on it and how much it influences the quality and impact of your creation. i just find it very endearing, maybe, how much, again, conviction and belief can push people to create and just how strong of an impact that leaves.
obviously EQ are both insanely talented people, so maybe they would've been able to create something as sonically impressive even without their more grand understanding of how their music shapes them and the people who listen to it and the impact all of these things carry in terms of building community and culture. i mean, unless im misremembering, im pretty sure they are almost solely responsible for most of the online trends in photography (i.e. malnourished white boy wearing jaded london and two skinny white girls wearing pink are derived from their impact). but, like, look at artists like fakemink. he holds so much belief in what ideas his projects represent, and the art itself doesn't showcase them in ANY manner. but i do firmly trust him when he says that his songs carry a higher meaning or whatever, and i think most artists, no matter how basic they appear to be in our perception, are like that.
i guess my point overall is that art demands this kind of certainty on what they see and feel from a person, you can't really be blasé about it if you want it to matter. i haven't really ever thought about it much, but, in a way, it is very reaffirming to see how the process of creation is.

right now i am listening to garden of eden by gaga at my corporate workplace. i don't find this particularly absurdist or whatever but i just felt like it was worth mentioning in some manner.
i've been writing here less often, which sucks. i feel like i say this every single time i go back to writing anything on here, and i don't want it to become a habit, but there is genuinely so little to write about sometimes. i have this thing where, if i have some persistent thought that i consider worth pondering in any manner, I just discuss it with myself. the past 5 days my parents have been out of town on a trip and i did a lot of that by just talking to myself in my shitty faux australian accent. i don't want to sound psychotic or like some kind of egomaniac, but i am probably my own most reliable and profound conversation partner. my constant anxiety makes me question all of the things i say, and that helps me contest my own point of view and explore perspectives. when talking myself. which is very normal and mature. clearly.
recently have been thinking about, well, i guess people. urgh gods yes you are so profound and measured, thinking about other people, so refreshing to have you out here in the world.
but, yes, people in my life and all. i've been noticing that I struggle to relate to many things. emotionally, culturally. socially etc. not in the way that i am some kind of niche indie person, just that I am horribly adjusted and grew up in a very self-isolated manner. I've obviously always had friends and the like, but I think mentally at some point I had created a sort of wall that shelters me from being influenced by them, and that has led to both not being able to understand people and to have an ego that stands solely on the fact of being "exceptional" even if I don't actually posess that quality in any manner -- it bothers me how ordinary i am, really. i struggle with understanding how others think, with being empathetic towards many of their problems even though I am SYMPathetic, with, I don't know, being sort of culturally acclimated, although that more so plays into my rejection of other cultural markers of being from moscow and growing up here.
it's really not that I don't care about others, I do and quite often deeply so. however, the fact that I can't seem to maintain my presence in friend groups and such is quite bothersome, and it probably should be more apparent to me that losing so many friends over the past 6 years is maybe concering. again, i care a great deal about the people around me, but im so infinitely petulant and needy that I just can't bring myself to embracing many of them, and I end up maintaing a certain distance from them instead of ever integrating. i think of myself in a manner that's isolating and doesn't help me get anywhere in life at all. it's starting to become a problem.
05.06.26 // 9 communista keistas
i've been thinking about politics a lot lately. i say that like it's news, but i genuinely have been pondering how our personal politics play into our image and how most are weirdly relucntant to engage in them purely based off the fact that somebody might take it the wrong way.
when i was writing my paper on consumer activism for uni, some of the people i interviewed flat out said things like "i am scared of being perceived as an activist" or "i just don't present myself like that online" (when speaking about posting about socio-political causes online). and, like, i get it, in a way, i think i weird out most of the people who follow me with how political i get sometimes (especially when it comes to israel obviously). so i don't necessarily judge. but how can you ignore, well, anything? how can you live life comfortably when so many abhorrent things are happening in the world? when thousands die? how can you possibly value the comfort of your life or your "online image" more than the life of another, at leats to the extent of not even speaking out about it privately?
i don't understand, really, how can it be possible to not care. over the past few years, i haven't had a single week that was peaceful, in the sense that every single day brings heartbreak, hatred, anger, sorrow and grief for the people who suffer under bombs and rockets and torture. again, how little do you value, like, anything at all to be scared for how people perceive you online because you speak up about the plight of another? like jesus christ, there are CHILDREN getting their limbs torn off by rockets!!!! what the fuck does your next photodump matter in the face of genocide? and if your audience finds it weird, then maybe you should ask yourself whether that is genuinely the people you want hanging around you.
again, i don't judge, i am not a moralist nor a purist and i too play into the systems that uphold violence and opression. i mean, i doubt my jaded london is made ethically or whatever. but if you, i don't know, ever find it in you to care enough to affect change even in the tiniest gestures, i really hope you follow that feeling to wherever it leads you.
i am not even saying that you have to, like, do something every single day, not necessarily. i don't know. the least you can do is care. that's a very western liberal way of looking at things, obviously, but not everyone has to be, like, into homosexual radical post-theory marxism. i barely read theory at all, really, because i just don't have the time. most people don't have time to read or to think, i guess. so, in this context, at the very least care about what happens in the world around you. like, i promise your iced coffees won't dissappear from existence and your niche whatever won't evaporate if you repost something on instagram. like i pinky promise you that.
25.05.26 // 8 jealousy drama gossip pink
i mean, it's all very positively high school and immensely immature, but i love seeing who people choose to date, especially people i dislike to an extent (and by the grace of Lord i have vere valid reasons to feel this way without coming off as salty or, again, immature). OBVIOUSLY there are two people in particular i can't help but laugh at. i mean why the fuck are you a nepobaby faux-influencer zionist expat living in NYC and dating a 40 year old looking also zionist finance bro chud??? like i can't even say grow up, there is genuinely nowhere to go but up either way, but, like, WHAT THE FUCK ????? anyways.
no, actually, it's impossible to overcome this, i am genuinely sorry. for the life of me i cannot escape the desire to consume, spread, create and perpetuate gossip. i derive so so much pleasure from this, like, casual deadpan dramatism it adds to life. obviously at least a part of it comes from deep-rooted jealousy about others having it better in life, i can't claim to be above this feeling, clearly, but there is just so much to it. i will talk to bunnie and sometimes she tells me her random everyday Flagstaff gossip and it brings me so much joy to know about random people and all the petty messiness they find themselves in. and i experience this tenfold if i find something out about somebody i know. sex scandal!
pink font because this feels like a pink font sort of passage, i dont know.
19.05.26 // 7 birthday update im 9+10 now oldest person ever
it's been a while wow. just so many things happening all the time that i haven't had the slightest chance to sit down and write here or whatever. you know how it goes. did anybody miss me at all? probably not, but also i missed me, or, at the very least, whatever version of me writes these.
my birthday happened. it was weirdly casual this year. no drama at all, just loads of fun and thousands upon thousands spent. which is finy be me, weirdly enough. i am usually much more stingy about money, i guess, but this year it felt good to spend money to allow everyone to have a bit of fun.
i guess in a way it didn't feel as special as it usually does? i was content with turning 21, and like everyone is content, that's barely even an age, but usually i'm simultaneously very excited and overly anxious about it, and this year it was just a thing that happened. i don't know, i try to not care at all about growing old. it's too early for me, anyways.
i have been good, i don't know. just ok, really, there is nothing of note now that i think about it. i've been running more, eevn if it's not really yielding any results yet, not with the heat in moscow and all. moscow feels different when it's sunny and the weather is smouldering. i mean, every city probably does, but moscow especially in contrast with the horrible winter. running has been good for me, i think. it makes me hopeful, for whatever reason. i think it's the moving in rhythm with the music. i plan on quitting smoking to pursue more of these sensations, but haven't quite figured out how to do that just yet.
i guess maybe there are a few bad things occuring to me lately? after all, this is probably the only place where i get to complain into the void without feeling any shame about it or without it seeming infantile or overly maximalist. lots of people have been calling me gay lately, mostly on the internet. in the comments, in my replies, whatever. it's annoying. not because i hate being perceived as gay, people can think whatever they want, im not going to fuck them and/or be upset about it, but it feels weird being boiled down to a stereotype. obviously this is a white person problem, like, boo fucking hoo, bisexual white guy is like hot and gets called gay or whatever, but it's just wonky, right? it's so weird that, like, buying Vogue issues or showing skin is apparently some sort of sign that a boy is gay. as i always say, it makes me feel like meat, and that's an overtly unpleasant feeling.
also i've been feeling very detached from myself at certain points. not consistently, but sometimes. i will make a joke that doesn't feel like it's actually me saying the words, it feels like i am forcing it out to stay as my usual self instead of it coming naturally, i don't really know how to explain it. it's like i am living inside of my body without actually being connected to it. maybe this is just a part of my perception of self and feeling inauthentic, of which i think i have spoken before. even now as i type, kinda. all of the words are true, tehy are correct and they are exactly the ones that i want to say, yet they feel distant, like they are not a part of me and rather a part of someone else's life.
but it's really nothing that can't be solved with, i don't know, some time to think. i am not really bothered with any of this, not to the extent where i grow genuinely concerned.
otherwise there isn't really all that much going on now. i am happy about the sun , about having friends i talk to, about going online, about my computer and about my body. it's honestly very vindicating to call yourself hot and then actually be hot, not just physically. hoping to be here more often i guess?? i love rambling about myself, like, a ton.
14.04.26 // 6 internet rockstar
just realised that ED stands for both eating disorder and erectile dysfunction, so if a man were to get the former and decide to tell somebody about it he would probably get some weird looks or something of the sort. great to know, right?
nothing's going on, really, yet again. i'm at work and i have absolutely nothing to do and virtually no one to talk to. i mean, i do have things that i NEED to do, but i deserve some sort of break from it all, i think. as i've said before: i am quite lazy and uninspired in terms of productivity and my mind constantly drifts off to either procrastination or my more artistic pursuits, if one could even call them such. after all, i m a dilettante, a poser, a nepobaby, et cetera. i am all those things at once. good for me <3
my thoughts seem very centred around the idea of internet popularity lately, and i think that's very unproductive. i find it quite vain and pointless to think about it, really, yet i just can't stop it. being popular in the digital space seems quite alluring to me for whatever reason. i mean, i've always had thoughts of, like, how cool it is to be famous, even when i was quite young. recently i guess i've been finding myself a bit more creatively which has spurred on this thinking of like "i need to be hotter" "i need to be esoteric" "i need to be more famous", and it's all really messing with me because my desire to, like, present myself a certain way and to post certain things to express myself (whatever that means nowadays) feels inherently warped with the drive to be more popular. and i dislike it and find it quite jarring. i mean, i could never truly judge myself, since i have an ego and all those fancy things, but still it makes me anxious about whether or not anything i do is genuine. and i can't figure it out myself. clearly. it's all opinions-based so i guess it doesn't really matter, to be fair.
and now that i think about it: i am not even, like, remotely popular or anything of the sort. i am not pointing this out as something negative, i just don't really understand my own desire to have #clout if it holds this little relevance to me and my online presence, it's all just so odd.
im thinking of doing these more regularly because it's fun and helps me remember what new horrors i've learnt about humanity recently so another line of things that i'm forced to be concerned with:
euphoria season 3, hungarian opposition wins, "gen z creative directors be like", tucker carlson's merch line, fraud in academia, trump as jesus christ AI image, fakemink coachella performance, nuclear warfare, katseye AI monalisa video, AI pornography, there is just so much AI, r/kitchencels, "this subreddit posts male living spaces", teenager throws a moccasin at Lenin in the mausoleum, facial surgery and bottox, chainsawing ryan murphy and sam levinson in half, male baldness discourse, racial profiling in the subway, sabrina carpenter racism allegations, failure to prevent genocide, church bells, egg-cracking during Easter, anne hatheway is on letterboxd, neuro-Zhirinovsky, course on AI in university, clavicular and woah vicky, gender identity, bodies as meat, sex pistols are one-album wonders, noah dillon's photography, israel shells lebanese villages, death to the idf, six seven, the man who married a robot, hasan piker, earthly delights, sense of self, catatonic, zohran mamdani, white people smoking coco puffs, fishing in california, trump threatens to wipe out civilisation, erehwon smoothie
10.04.26 // 5 europa
nothing noteworthy's been happening lately, i don't think. i mean, in the world there is a great number of utterly dystopian and almost apocalyptic things going on, but not in my life. i've been writing my study, or at least i've been trying to do that in-between moments when i get lazy and lie in bed. yesterday i'd woken up early because i wanted to be productive and had breakfast, and then realised that i hate being like that and went back to sleep until 3 pm. it was pleasant and i felt at peace for the first time in a while, i guess. or something along those lines at the very least. i'm not really complaining about it either and i don't really feel bad about it, as this sort of hedonistic lack of effort has been a constant in my life for years at this point, but it is unfortunate since I do desperately want to snap out of it -- just don't really have any clue on how to do it or any genuine desire to pursue even the things i myself deem to be productive.
i think maybe it will end next year, or at the very least when i will have (hopefully) gone off to Europe to get my master's. these thoughts about finally leaving have been very positive lately, and i feel a rejuvenated sense of determination to achieve these goals. i think visualising or fantasising about it has helped quite a bit. the sort of general idea that i can picture of, like, going out on dates with my girlfriend in europe or finally getting to go to cool gigs with friends has been most satisfying, even if it does still feel quite far away. also very excited about the idea of meeting my online best friend somewhere out there. she's like those penpals you write fake emails to from English course books, it's been very gratifying and awesome to have somebody like that in my life for the past however many weeks. can't wait to visit Fagstaff, Arizona someday and rob a frat house.
everyone's been doing these lately and i feel like it suits the general idea of myself that i present online, so here is my line of vague and distant concepts you could think about or otherwise completely ignore. it doesn't really affect me in any way.

02.04.26 // 4 body sensations
today is Thursday which means i get to spend the whole day at home. i don't really mind it but, again, i hate being stuck and in this scenario i am stuck quite literally. i have no reason to go outside, and whenever that happens i often find myself unable to find a goal that would force me out of my room. it's not even a depressive state or anything of the sort - just, like, a very potent inability to will the things i want into existence. it's unfortunate and quite honestly a bit demoralising, and it also makes me look and feel as kind of a chud ass loser. my chud ass loser life.
my bed
i am technically supposed to be working from home today, but on most Thursdays i just don't. i tell my coworkers who need something from me that i am ready to take on assignments and then just put them off for later. sometimes i feel bad about it or get scared that someone will get mad at me but it never comes to pass. nobody really cares enough, i guess. Marx's labour alienation and all.
i've spent the entire day so far trying to thrift flared jeans online. i am almost comically inept at finding what i want so i just add these listings and then forget about them. i guess sometimes scrolling for enough time makes me feel a bit insecure about my physique, since most jeans that would fit me are women's. i don't have any confusion abour my body or whatever, just makes me feel weird, even if i do enjoy being slim and hot, kind of.
clothes are weird for me, overall. i don't know what exactly i like since i am easily influenced and entirely unsure of what is ME in that particular aspect. most clothes don't fit and i just go with it. on particularly bad days clothes feel like they fit so poorly i almost want to just go back home and never come out again. however i do feel hot and well-dressed on most days, which has become an unavodiable part of my personality. good for me, actually.
02.04.26 // 3
there is a whole other me out there. just realising now.
i was feeling insomniac and none of my friends are like this ever so i spend a lot of time completely alone. because i don't sleep. or can't, rather. i don't know what it is but i engage with my inner self and the world much better when im like this. guess it's a rather surface-level thought but being completely shut off from everyone from like 3 am onwards is always very refreshing. i am forced into sheer boredom by the digital content i consume at night and most pleasures of life are unavailable to me in this setting so i have nothing to do but think and ponder and yearn etc. and i guess living life in this little isolated reality for 5-6 hours is maybe a bit healthy. it really confuses me every single time but it helps. i'm feeling better because i get to think about me, which is surprisingly rare considering how self-obsessed i am usually.
i have my american friends to talk to because of timozones but i am horribly inadequate at following all of the groupchats i've been in with them for the past 6 years so i realistically only have one american person i can text every night when i'm bored and that's only been an option for the past 3 days because we've just met so for the most part i am like cursed to constantly just talk to myself. it is mostly displeasing, though, as I find myself to be much more boring than any other person I know. i'm quite humble in that regard, i guess. blogging is fun, i can say anything on the internet!!
now that i think about it, i am actually not that boring. i think the problem i often find myself contemplating is the fact that i don't really feel like a person, in a way. i am mostly like a collection of other people and their traits but i am not necessarily independent as a spirit. there is a layer of some character traits on top of it, sure, but when i dig deep all that remains of whoever i've been throughout my life is very vague and not very clear to me. i am kind of like a simulacrum of all the people i've met. i don't know whether that's good or bad, just endlessly confusing. i'd love to figure myself out someday and not be stuck like this.
31.03.26 // 2
#random i kind of look like a frog here.
i think im in a good place in life right now. i have goals, i have passion for things again, i am going to wear a trenchcoat in like a day. maybe i overreacted by being all emo and depressed during the winter. i think the concept of seasonal depression is just so boring and vain nowadays so i never claim to have it. everyone has seasonal depression that gets cured by the sun coming out in the spring, i guess my ego and inflated sense of self don't allow me to attribute it to my own state of being even if it's very much true. i don't know. my general feeling of apathy is gone, at least. it's refreshing to be alive sometimes, right? not a very detached and esoteric concept, but, like, can't help being jubilant sometimes. ecstatic, even.
30.03.26 // 1 a start
stained my already worse for wear white long sleeve with coffee. i’m genuinely a mental patient like i forgot that i was drinking it for a split second and just kinda let it drool out of my mouth and onto my neck. in a certain context i imagine this would be alluring or maybe even a bit erotic but when i do it it probably looks dumb as fuck and everyone thinks i stink etc. pirating adobe photoshop and reading my new friend’s blog. i like reading blogs. i think everyone has so much to say but they either never figure out how to or just like hide their thoughts behind smth else and never put pen to paper or i guess text to screen would be more applicable. anyways they don’t and i kinda do starting right now which makes my life infinitely more bearable.
still torrenting adobe photoshop currently. very boring. apparently 65 ppl seeding me is like barely enough to get me over a megabyte per hour. maybe it’s just the corporate wifi. i try to not get annoyed at mundane occurrences but like it’s hard sometimes, i have zero emotion control and im a very very angry guy ig. everyone gets to experience it usually and then i feel bad. what am i even talking about. anyways yeah torrenting means im taking small steps towards my goal of being a niche blogger and journalist and like digital explorer which is great. finally putting the vastness of my knowledge to use. first person in my bloodline to have the potential to experience twink death, isn’t that just dandy. dandy is a very peculiar word that pops up in my head every once in a while and i imagine Rick Astley saying it for whatever reason. anyways, about to clock out and go buy cheap camels with my remaning 200 rubles (roughly 2 dollars or 30k uzbekistani tenge)
