My name is Jared Spangler, owner of Platinum Pool Service. I grew up in Westlake Village, and migrated to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB. I started working in pool service after I graduated from UCSB in 2005 and founded Platinum Pool Service in 2007. I am currently insured and bonded. I work closely with with multiple pool builders, and am a member of IPSSA. I am a certified National Plaster Council pool start-up technician as well as a certified aquatic equipment installer. Additionally, I am licensed under the California State License Board for swimming pool repair and maintenance. Lastly, I am a certified chemical CPO. I have been volunteering annually at the Long Beach Pool and Spa show since 2013. By surrounding myself with the top industry professionals and working in the field, my knowledge of this industry continues to grow.
My family and I live in Goleta. I have two beautiful children. Our daughter Aria was born in 2015 and our son Nathan was born in 2017. We are expecting our third, a baby girl due May 2019.
I try to spend as much of my spare time outdoors. I enjoy running, riding my mountain bike, hiking, and competing in triathlons. In 2015 I competed in the Coeur d’Alene Ironman, with my twin sister and a few friends from high school. I am also a California site steward, working with the Los Padres National Forrest Service to protect and preserve archeological sites across the Forrest.
