SELF DEFENCE
This course is suitable and advisable for private South African citizens over the age of 18
There are two Unit Standards that all first-time applicants will need to complete.
1.Legal Test and relates to the new Firearms Control Act 60/2000,
2. Basic Firearm Training, which covers firearm safety,
practical handling together with section 49 of the Criminal Procedures Act,
which covers the law around firearm use for the purpose of self-defense.
When you enroll & sign up for your course at PLATINUM you will be issued with you training material.
Open book tests will be found in the training manuals which needs to be completed.
(our on site staff will walk you through the process of what is required from you the student)
All the answers will be found in the same training manuals.
You will be expected to complete a closed book exam based on the same questions that where found in the open book exam.
When you attend the course, the Instructor will work through the content in the training manual
and then take you through the practical side of safe firearm handling and use.
Passing the open book, closed book and practical exam qualifies you for the Unit Standards that you have selected to enroll in.
