A. Data You Provide and Upload
Photos and Images: When you use the plant identification, health diagnosis, or toxicity analysis features, the App requires access to your device’s camera and photo library. The photos you explicitly take or select are uploaded and transmitted securely to our cloud servers for AI-powered processing and analysis.
B. Device Hardware and Sensor Data
Ambient Light Sensor Data: To provide the light metering feature, the App accesses your device’s built-in ambient light sensor. This data is processed locally on your device in real-time to display brightness levels and is NOT transmitted to or permanently stored on our servers.
Technical Device Information: We may collect non-personally identifiable technical information about your mobile device, such as device model, operating system version, system language settings, and standard performance metrics. This data is used solely to optimize App performance, ensure compatibility, and troubleshoot crashes. We do NOT collect precise GPS location data or build user tracking profiles.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for the following limited purposes:
To Provide Core Services: To process the uploaded plant photos via our AI algorithms and return accurate identification, health diagnosis, and care results to you.
To Optimize the App: To improve our AI recognition models, reduce error rates, and enhance the overall user experience.
Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, bug reports, or technical support emails sent to our developer contact.
3. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
Data Retention: Uploaded plant photos are retained on our servers only for the duration necessary to complete the AI analysis and optimize recognition accuracy. We do not link these photos to your personal identity, as the App does not require account registration.
Data Security: We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures (including HTTPS encryption during data transmission) to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We may utilize trusted third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting infrastructure and AI processing API providers) to host backend infrastructure and facilitate our core services. These third parties have access to the uploaded plant photos only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are strictly obligated under contract not to disclose or use the data for any other purpose. We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your data to third-party advertisers.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App is a general audience utility and is NOT directed to, or intended for use by, children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child under the applicable legal age has provided us with any data, we will delete it from our servers immediately. Depending on your geographic location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of the data we hold about you. Since our App operates without user account registration, we do not store personal profiles.
