- We do not store your name, email, or any other personal details.

Plant Snap AI Identifier is designed to be your personal plant expert, allowing you to instantly identify plants from a photo. Whether you're in your garden, on a hike, or curious about a plant at a friend's house, the App uses advanced image recognition AI to tell you what it is, its scientific name, and provide essential care instructions. It also keeps a record of your identified plants, creating a personal library of your discoveries. The App is intended as a utility and educational tool for plant enthusiasts, gardeners, and anyone curious about the natural world.
## 3. How We Use Your Data / Photos / Inputs
Your photos and inputs are used exclusively for the purpose of delivering the App's core features:
- **Plant Identification:** Photos are sent to our AI backend to analyze and identify the plant species.
- **Care Information Generation:** Based on the identification, relevant care guides, toxicity warnings, and other plant-specific details are generated and presented to you.
- **History Logging:** Identified plants are saved within your local App history for your personal reference.
To perform the AI identification, we utilize third-party services. Your submitted images are sent temporarily to secure AI image recognition platforms, such as Replicate, and are briefly stored on services like Firebase Storage for the duration of the processing. These services are used solely for the technical function of identifying plants.
We never use your data or photos for advertising, creating user profiles, or identifying you personally.
## 4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share any of your data or photos with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
As mentioned in Section 3, we use reputable third-party services exclusively for the technical processing required to deliver the App's features (e.g., Replicate for AI image recognition, Firebase Storage for temporary file handling). These third parties are bound by strict data protection agreements.
All payments for premium features are processed securely through Apple's in-app purchase system. We do not handle your payment information directly.
## 5. Data Retention
Plant Snap AI Identifier is built with a strong emphasis on ephemeral data. We do not permanently store any photos or content you submit for identification on our servers. As detailed in Section 1, all submitted photos are automatically purged from our processing systems within 24 hours of submission. Your identified plant history is stored locally on your device and is not synchronized with our servers.

By using Plant Snap AI Identifier and submitting a photo for identification, you consent to the temporary processing of that photo as described in this Privacy Policy. You will be prompted for camera and photo library access permissions by iOS, and by granting these, you enable the App's functionality.
