This Privacy Policy explains how EXO ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application PlaceShot GPS (the "App"), a GPS geotag map camera for iOS. EXO is the data controller for the limited processing described here.
PlaceShot GPS was designed to work primarily on your device. We do not operate user accounts or backend servers that store your content. The only network calls the App makes are to Apple (for maps, geocoding, place search, and directions) and to Open-Meteo (for weather), each described in Section 4.
The App has no sign-up, login, or profile. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or password. If you choose to email us for support, we receive the contents of that email (e.g., your message and your email address) so we can reply.

We do not collect or use: advertising identifiers (IDFA), analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, third-party trackers, contacts, health data, browsing history, or any account/profile data. The App contains no Firebase, no AdMob or other ad networks, no social login, and no push-notification service.

We do not use your information for profiling, automated decision-making, or advertising.
The App relies on two external services. Neither receives an identity for you — only the data needed to return a result.
Map display, converting coordinates to a readable address, place search, and turn-by-turn routes are provided by Apple's MapKit and Core Location frameworks built into iOS. When you use these features, the relevant coordinates or search text are sent to Apple to return the result. This processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
To display local weather on the stamp, the App sends your approximate coordinates to the Open-Meteo public weather API (https://api.open-meteo.com/v1/forecast) over HTTPS and receives a forecast back. No account, API key, name, or device identifier is sent. See open-meteo.com/en/terms.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, which may collect download and usage statistics under Apple's own policy. The App is free and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions, so no payment information is processed. If you choose to rate the App, Apple's standard "request review" prompt is used; we receive only the aggregate rating Apple shows all developers.
PlaceShot GPS shows no ads and performs no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not access the IDFA and therefore do not present an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), we do not "sell" or "share" personal information, and we have no "Do Not Sell or Share" obligation because no such activity occurs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We disclose data only:
to Apple and Open-Meteo strictly to return the map/address/search/route/weather results you requested (Section 4);
if required by applicable law or valid legal process — though, because we hold essentially no personal data on our side, there is generally nothing for us to produce;
to recipients you choose yourself when you use the iOS share sheet to send a photo/video, or when you save a capture to your Photos library.
Your captures and settings remain on your device until you delete them (in-app) or uninstall the App. We do not retain copies. Coordinates/search text sent to Apple or Open-Meteo are processed transiently to return a result and are subject to those providers' retention policies, not ours. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Network requests to Apple and Open-Meteo use HTTPS. Your media and settings are stored within the App's sandboxed, OS-protected storage and benefit from iOS device encryption (e.g., when a passcode is set). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but because we do not centralize your data, the attack surface is limited to your own device.
EXO operates from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Apple and Open-Meteo may process requests on servers located in other countries. Where such transfers involve personal data of EEA/UK residents, they rely on the providers' own safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). Because we do not store your data ourselves, EXO performs no separate international transfer of it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because PlaceShot GPS keeps your content on your own device and we hold essentially no personal data about you, you can exercise most of these rights directly: view, edit, export (via share), or delete any capture inside the App at any time.
You have the rights described above and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We do not sell or share personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You retain the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
For anything you cannot do inside the App, email thongintech@gmail.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
PlaceShot GPS is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the App has no accounts and no data collection on our side, it does not gather such information in the first place. If you believe a child has provided us personal data through a support email, contact us and we will delete it.
The App has no account to delete. To remove your data:
Delete individual captures in the Gallery (swipe/select → delete), which removes the media and its index entry from the device.
Uninstall the App to remove all of its on-device data, including captures and settings.
Captures you saved to Photos live in your iOS Photos library; delete them there.

To geotag captures and to power the map, address stamp, search, and routes. The App requests "While Using" only — no background tracking.

To record audio when you capture a video.
Photo Library (Add Only)
To save a capture to your Photos library when you ask. The App requests add-only access and does not read your existing library.
You can change any of these at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security (or Settings → PlaceShot GPS). Denying a permission disables only the related feature.
We may update this Policy as the App evolves or the law changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
