Placeholder is a four-piece indie band based in Stockport, made up of Khy Saddoo-Vickers (vocals & rhythm guitar), Kieran Washington (lead guitar), Isla Hewer (drums), and Aiden Barrett (bass).Â
Placeholder was formed back in November of 2024 by Khy Saddoo-Vickers and Paddy Christy, eventually adding Sam Hardman (of Confusion Matrix) on drums to back their guitars. Aiden Barrett picked up the bass guitar in the following January to fill the final slot. Paddy left the band a few months later, picking up the rhythm guitar slot in fellow Stockport band, Overdrive (now Inertia) and being replaced by Kieran Washington. Sam also left to focus on his main band, allowing Isla Hewer to fill the role. And as of June 2025, the current line-up was complete.
