Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how the PKWholesale mobile app collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Phone number and login data
- The app requires your mobile phone number to sign in via OTP.
- OTP verification is performed by the backend API.
- If login succeeds, the backend returns authentication tokens and your user profile.
User profile data
The app may store the following profile fields returned by the backend:
- name
- phone
- customer code
- address
- city / place
- secondary phone number (`phone2`)
- GSTIN
Local storage
The app stores the following on your device using local storage:
- access token
- refresh token
- cached user profile
- optionally demo data when using demo mode
Push notification tokens
The app may request permission to send push notifications and collect:
- Expo push token
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token
These tokens are sent to the app backend so notifications can be delivered to your device.
Camera access
The app requests camera permission only when you use the barcode scanner feature.
- Camera access is used to scan product barcodes.
- The app does not upload camera images to any third party.
- Only the scanned barcode value is used locally to look up product information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- authenticate and identify your account
- retrieve product listings and order history
- place and manage orders
- register your device for push notifications
- show your account profile inside the app
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Backend API
- Expo / Expo Notifications for push delivery
- Google / Firebase services for push notification handling
The app does not appear to include analytics, advertising SDKs, or social login providers in its current source.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties.
Information may be shared with the backend service to support authentication, ordering, and push notifications.
6. Data Retention and Security
Your authentication tokens and profile data are stored locally on your device.
7. Demo Mode
The app includes a demo mode for testing.
- Demo mode uses local fake demo data only.
- Demo credentials do not call the real OTP backend.
8. Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Camera: for barcode scanning
- Notifications: to receive push notifications
No location, contacts, microphone, or storage permissions are requested by default in the current app source.
9. User Choice
You can choose not to grant camera or notification permission.
- If camera permission is denied, barcode scanning will not work.
- If notification permission is denied, push notifications will not be delivered.
