Our interest is on the development of green methodologies for the construction of bio-relevant molecules. We prefer development of sustainable protocols for functional molecules. We also aims for the biological evaluation (in collaboration) of synthesized functional molecules.
We are focusing on the isolation (through chromatographic techniques) and characterization (1D- 2D-NMR, GC-MS, LC-MS, HR-MS, IR, UV-vis spectroscopic techniques) of secondary metabolites, value addition of toxic compounds from plants origin through synthetic reactions, biological evaluation (in collaboration) of plant secondary metabolites.
Extraction of Anti-viral H1N1 Drug Precursor Shikimic Acid and Related Cyclitols from Himalayan Medicinal Plants and their Value Addition for Valuable Scaffolds
Status: Ongoing (2023-25)
Our primary objective is development of sustainable catalytic approaches. We aims development of bio-mimetic catalytic protocols using porphyrinoids chemistry and other transition metal complexes. Our aim is to develop greener approaches for the bio-relevant scaffolds and fine chemicals.
