I am Preti Kumari, an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing & Electrical Engineering (SCEE) at IIT Mandi. Before joining IIT Mandi, I was a Research Fellow in Cisco-NUS Corp. Lab at the National University of Singapore. Prior to that, I worked as a Scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS) lab, India. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi and completed my M.Tech in the same field at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna.
My research interests lie in wireless networking and sensing, Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and long-range networks. I am particularly focused on designing cost-effective and resource-efficient solutions for data collection and forwarding in wireless networks, leveraging techniques from machine learning, deep learning, and game theory.
