There is only rule of Pizza Club: No talking about work. 🚫
Pizza Club L.A. is not a 501(c)3 recognized organization, but it is not-for-profit work. It has no cost for membership. We try good pizza shops all around the Greater Los Angeles area.
The only rule was put into place as a way to really get to know friends and colleagues.
This doesn't mean that you shouldn't say anything about your job; it does mean talking about your self-indulgent all-encompassing career while eating together is a bit rude.
Tell us about your upcoming hobby adventure or your next vacation plans!
UPDATE:
It has come to Pizza Club's attention that some of you have no clue about how to engage others properly.
So without further ado, here are socially acceptable ideas for your attendance of a Club meeting.
5 THINGS TO TALK ABOUT OR ASK ABOUT WHILE EATING FOOD AT A TABLE WITH OTHERS
How was your day/night/weekend?
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
Did you like your soda/lemonade/beer?
Wanna come to a pool party this weekend?
Have you watched that new TV show?
Stop talking like you are a "big cheese".* Stop talking about how much more money you could get. No one cares. Just breathe, dude. Take the time and enjoy the pizza.
Respectfully,
Management
