Stroke Art is a vector art style inspired by the visual style of the YouTube channel "Kurzgesagt."
This style is built around rounded-end stroke objects, with a particular emphasis on their use for shading, resulting in clean, scalable vector illustrations.
By simplifying complex forms into smooth, rounded strokes, Stroke Art achieves a soft, rounded aesthetic.
This style is often described as vector graphics, and that is technically correct.
However, vector graphics refers to an image format rather than a specific artistic style. Many visually distinct styles like highly detailed illustrations are also vector graphics.
This is similar to calling pixel art raster graphics. While accurate, the term also includes high-resolution photographs and photorealistic digital paintings, making it too broad to describe the distinctive style of arranging visible pixels.
For the same reason, I use the term Stroke Art to emphasize its defining characteristic: illustrations constructed primarily from stroke objects.
DigitStroke is a font family created using the Stroke Art style and is available on the Unity Asset Store.
Inspired by digital displays, DigitStroke connects each stroke smoothly instead of separating individual segments, making it suitable whenever a digital aesthetic is desired without the rigid appearance of a traditional segmented display.
DigitStroke is available in both Proportional and Monospaced variants. Each variant includes 9 font weights, for a total of 18 styles.
