Tap your way out of the grid!!!
What started as a single, punishing dash through the grid has evolved into an entire retro-neon universe right in your pocket. Now a full suite of offline Android experiences, you can tap through lasers in GridDash OG, smash your way through GridBreaker, build a digital metropolis in GridSimulator, or survive the new dimensions of GridDash 3D.
Jump in, play offline, and see if you can beat the high scores. (Probably not... but I dare you to try).
Game Backstory: Origins & Evolution
The prototype for this project started in a mobile programming class using Swift and Xcode. My goal was simple: publish my very first game before the next semester. Naturally, I missed that deadline—because I became obsessed with perfecting the mechanics.
Porting the engine over to Godot was the easy part. The real challenge was refining the core game feel. I spent countless hours fine-tuning the gravity, jump power, and speed, constantly battling feature creep to distill the game down to its purest, most addictive loop. I had to learn the hardest lesson in game dev: knowing when a game is actually "finished."
From a Single Game to an Arcade Universe As it turns out, the game wasn't finished—it was just the beginning. That initial retro-neon clone has now evolved into a growing arcade of simple but addictive games, all playable offline.
GridDash Arcade is entirely free to play. It runs on a minimal-ad model: you'll find minimally-intrusive ad-breaks; instead, ads are largely optional, giving you the choice to watch them for small gameplay boosts or to unlock new games early.
Making this game has been an incredible journey of taking a project from a blank screen to a published reality. To the players around the world who are tapping their way through the grid right now—thank you. Your support means everything. The games and the shop will continue to improve and expand as the GridDash Arcade community grows. If you're enjoying the games, please feel free to leave a review on the Play Store or email me your feedback!
