Legendary Creation ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PixelGrab — Bulk Image Downloader Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our extension.
Information We Collect
PixelGrab is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the extension.
Data stored locally on your device:
License key (if you upgrade to Pro) — stored in Chrome's local storage on your device only
Your Pro/Free plan status — stored locally to remember your plan
Data we do NOT collect:
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or address
We do not collect browsing history or track the websites you visit
We do not collect or store any images you download
We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or telemetry data
We do not use cookies or tracking technologies
We do not collect IP addresses
How the Extension Works
PixelGrab operates entirely within your browser. When you click "Scan Page," the extension scans the current webpage's HTML to find image elements. All scanning, filtering, and downloading happens locally on your device. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers during this process.
The only external network request the extension makes is during Pro license activation, where your license key is verified through Gumroad's API (see Section 3).
License Verification
When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to Gumroad's license verification API (api.gumroad.com) to confirm its validity. This is the only external request the extension makes. We do not operate our own servers for this process.
Gumroad's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. You can review it at https://gumroad.com/privacy.
Permissions Explained
PixelGrab requests the following Chrome permissions:
activeTab: Required to scan the current webpage for images when you click "Scan Page." This permission only activates on the tab you are currently viewing and only when you interact with the extension.
scripting: Required to inject the image scanning script into the current webpage to detect all images including those loaded via CSS and other methods.
storage: Required to save your license key and Pro status locally on your device so you don't need to re-enter it every time you open Chrome.
downloads: Required to save images to your computer when you click "Download" or "Download as ZIP."
We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third parties. The only external communication is the license verification request to Gumroad during Pro activation, as described in Section 3.
Data Storage and Security
All extension data (license key and plan status) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device except during the license verification process.
If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored data is automatically removed by Chrome.
Children's Privacy
PixelGrab does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The extension does not collect personal information from any users.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to delete, modify, or export. Your license key and plan status are stored only on your device and can be removed at any time by:
Clicking "Deactivate License" in the extension settings
Uninstalling the extension
Clearing your browser's extension data
