This Privacy Policy explains how Spendoryx – Expense Tracker ("Spendoryx", "the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the application.
Spendoryx is designed as a private, offline expense tracking application. We respect your privacy and have designed the App so that your expense information remains on your device.
1. Information We Collect
Spendoryx does not collect, transmit, or store your personal information on our servers.
The App does not require you to create an account or sign in.
Information that you enter into the App may include:
Expense titles
Expense amounts
Expense categories
Expense dates
Optional expense notes
Custom categories
Currency preferences
Language preferences
Theme preferences
This information is entered voluntarily by you and is stored locally on your device for the purpose of providing the App's expense tracking functionality.
We do not receive or have access to this locally stored information.
2. Financial Information
Spendoryx allows you to manually enter expense amounts and related expense details for personal budgeting and expense tracking.
The App does not connect to your bank account, payment card, financial institution, or payment service.
Spendoryx does not collect or process:
Bank account numbers
Credit or debit card numbers
Payment credentials
Banking passwords
Transaction information directly from financial institutions
Expense information manually entered into Spendoryx remains stored locally on your device unless you choose to export it using the backup feature.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Information entered into Spendoryx is processed locally on your device to provide features such as:
Recording and managing expenses
Displaying daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and all-time spending totals
Generating spending charts and statistics
Searching and filtering expense history
Organizing expenses by category
Comparing spending between different periods
Managing custom categories
Creating backup files
Restoring information from backup files
This processing takes place locally on your device.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal or expense information with third parties.
Because Spendoryx is designed to work offline and your expense data remains on your device, we do not have access to your expense records.
If you choose to export or share a backup file, any subsequent handling of that file is under your control. For example, if you manually save or share the backup through another application or cloud storage service, that third-party service may process the file according to its own privacy policy.
5. Internet and Account Requirements
Spendoryx does not require:
User registration
Account creation
Login credentials
An internet connection for its core expense tracking functionality
Your expense tracking data is not synchronized with our servers.
6. Backup and Restore
Spendoryx provides a backup and restore feature.
When you create a backup, the App generates a file containing your expense tracking information. You choose where the backup file is saved using the options provided by your device.
The backup file is not automatically uploaded to our servers.
You are responsible for protecting backup files that you create and for choosing where those files are stored or shared.
When restoring a backup, the selected backup file is processed for the purpose of restoring your expense tracking information to the App.
7. Device Storage and File Access
Spendoryx may access files or storage locations only when necessary for user-initiated backup and restore functionality.
Any file access is used only to perform the action requested by you, such as selecting a backup file, saving an exported backup, or restoring your information.
Spendoryx does not use file access to scan, collect, upload, or share unrelated files stored on your device.
8. Data Security
We take user privacy seriously. Spendoryx is designed to minimize data exposure by keeping expense information locally on your device rather than transmitting it to our servers.
However, no device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security on your device, including screen locks, passwords, device encryption, and secure storage of exported backup files where appropriate.
9. Data Retention
Expense information and settings remain stored locally on your device until you:
Edit or delete individual records;
Use the option within the App to clear your data;
Clear the App's storage through your device settings; or
Uninstall the App, subject to your device's operating system and backup behavior.
Because we do not maintain a server-side copy of your expense data, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete information stored locally on your device.
Backup files that you export remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete them yourself.
10. Data Deletion
Spendoryx provides controls that allow you to manage and delete your locally stored information.
You can delete individual expenses and categories where applicable, or use the data-clearing option available in the App's Settings to clear locally stored App data.
You may also remove locally stored App data through your Android device settings or by uninstalling the App, subject to Android's applicable storage and backup behavior.
Since Spendoryx does not require an account and does not store your expense information on our servers, there is no server-side account or expense database that requires a separate deletion request.
11. Permissions
Spendoryx only intends to use device capabilities that are necessary for its functionality.
Where access to files or storage is required for backup or restore functionality, the App uses that access for the user-requested operation.
We do not use device permissions to collect personal information for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
12. Analytics and Advertising
Spendoryx does not use your expense information for advertising or profiling.
The current version described by this Privacy Policy does not transmit your expense records to advertising or analytics services.
If analytics, advertising services, cloud synchronization, or other third-party services that process user data are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App's Google Play Data Safety disclosures will be updated accordingly before or when such changes become applicable.
13. Children's Privacy
Spendoryx is a general-purpose expense tracking utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our servers because the App does not transmit or store users' expense information on our servers.
If the App's intended audience or data practices change, we will update our practices and disclosures as required by applicable laws and Google Play policies.
14. International Users
Because Spendoryx stores expense information locally on the user's device and does not operate a server-based account system for this information, we do not transfer your expense records to our servers in another country.
Any third-party service you independently choose when exporting or sharing a backup file may process that file according to its own terms and privacy practices.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App's functionality, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be revised.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
