This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Pixel & Page ("Application") for mobile devices that was created by Muhammad Faheem Khan ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our"). The Application is a utility tool designed to assist users with image editing (such as cropping and background removal) and document file management (such as PDF conversion and scanning).

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

1. User-Provided Information & Content The Application is designed to process files that you provide, specifically images (JPG, PNG, HEIC) and document files (PDF).

• Local Processing: The majority of the Application's features, such as image cropping, resizing, image compression, and merging PDFs, are performed locally on your device. The files processed via these features do not leave your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

• Server-Side Processing: Certain advanced features, specifically "Background Removal" and "PDF to Word Conversion," require significant computational power and are processed on remote servers. When you use these specific features, the necessary image or file is temporarily transmitted via an encrypted connection to a third-party processing service solely for the purpose of performing the requested action. Once the processed file is returned to your device, the original and processed files are deleted from the processing servers. We do not permanently store, share, or view your user-generated content.

2. Automatically Collected Information In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application. This data is generally anonymized and used to improve the Application's stability and performance.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Android Permissions Explained

To function correctly, "Pixel & Page" requires access to certain features on your Android device. We request the minimum permissions necessary to perform the app's core functions:

• Storage (Photos/Media/Files):

  • Purpose: This permission is essential to allow you to select images and files from your device's gallery or file manager for editing and processing. It is also required to save the finished, edited files back to your device's storage.

• Camera:

  • Purpose: This permission is required only if you use the "Scan to PDF" feature, allowing the app to capture images of documents to convert them into digital files.

• Internet / Network Access:

  • Purpose: This is required to transmit data securely for server-side processing features (such as removing image backgrounds or converting PDFs) and to load necessary resources.

Third-Party Access to Information

We may transmit data to trusted third-party service providers for the sole purpose of enabling specific app functionalities (as detailed in "Server-Side Processing" above). These third parties have access to your information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

• when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

• if the Service Provider is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via a prominent notice on our website or in the Application of any such change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

Data Retention Policy

For user content uploaded for server-side processing (e.g., an image sent for background removal), we retain the data only for the brief period necessary to complete the processing task. Once the resulting file is delivered back to your device, the data is purged from the processing servers. We do not maintain a database of user-uploaded files.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at the email provided below. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
