Last updated: 23 May 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the temporary Google Drive + PIN based release of Pixapix AD & CC Player. The future main release may use a different account, payment, entitlement, and cloud process and will require a separate updated policy.
Developer
Pixapix AD & CC Player is provided by PIXAPIX.

What The App Does
Pixapix AD & CC Player is a cinema accessibility player. It downloads approved encrypted accessibility packages and plays audio description and closed captions in sync with film audio in a screening environment.
The app is not a film streaming service and does not provide the original movie, video, or theatrical content. It plays encrypted accessibility assets prepared from materials supplied by authorized producers, distributors, studios, accessibility vendors, or rights-holder representatives.
Pixapix does not claim ownership of, editorial control over, copyright in, certification control over, or public exhibition rights in the underlying film content. Film-level rights, certification, rating/classification, and content approvals remain with the relevant rights holder or releasing party.
Information We Collect
This temporary release does not require user registration, login, phone number, email address, payment, or profile creation.
The app does not collect or transmit personal information such as name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or videos, advertising identifiers, payment information, or user account details.
Microphone Use
Pixapix AD & CC Player requests microphone permission so it can synchronize the accessibility track with the film audio playing in the room.
The microphone is used only for short acoustic matching samples. Microphone audio is processed locally on the device. It is not recorded, stored, uploaded, sold, or shared.
If microphone permission is denied, automatic sync may not work.
Downloads And Local Storage
The app downloads encrypted accessibility package files, sync manifests, sync indexes, and poster artwork from the configured content source.
These downloads are accessibility support assets. They are not the full film/video content. The main film is exhibited separately by the cinema, producer, distributor, or other authorized releasing party.
Downloaded encrypted package files are stored locally inside the app's private storage so authorized content can be previewed offline on the same device after download and PIN unlock. The app may also temporarily decrypt package contents into app-private storage for playback.
Users can offload downloaded films inside the app. Users can also remove local app data through Android system settings.
Network Use
The app connects to Google Drive APIs to list and download approved accessibility packages. The app does not upload user files, microphone audio, or personal data.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal user data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers.
Security
Pixapix AD & CC Player uses encrypted content packages and PIN-based package unlocking. Content downloads use HTTPS. Downloaded package integrity may be verified before playback when package metadata is available.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but the app is designed to minimize personal data handling in this temporary release.
Children
Pixapix AD & CC Player is not directed to children as a standalone service. The app is intended for authorized cinema accessibility use and preview/test screenings.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version should be made available through the privacy policy URL in the Google Play listing.
