Mindy Bessette

Hello, I am Mindy Bessette. I am 52 years old and have five children and nine grandchildren as well as several foster children over the years. I worked for the University of Vermont for twenty years while my children were growing up. When we decided in 2015 to become foster parents we discovered very quickly that there were few centers that would allow children with behavioral needs and trauma induced behaviors. It was at that point I decided to return to school and resign from my current position and open a childcare center where all children feel love and supported. We owned a center for three years plus until COVID hit and we had no choice but to close the center. This broke my heart but I knew that one day we would be back. We opened Pitter Patter in April 2022 and we love it. I obtained my Early Ed Degree in 2024 and have taken many classes in trauma informed practice. I love working with children and empowering them to believe in themselves.

Savannah Lawrence

My name is Savannah Lawrence I am 27 years old; I am married to my husband Darren. Together we have three dogs, Izzy, O'Malley and Riggs and our two beautiful children. I love to go camping, bake, fishing and painting. I spend many hours outside during the summer with the dogs! I have been in childcare for 8 years and have worked with children of all ages. I have a bachelor's degree from UVM in Elementary Education.

I have always enjoyed caring for children as I am also an aunt to nine amazing nieces and nephews! I started working in childcare as a substitute and then moved up the ladder to where I am today. I plan to continue my education through courses at CCV to better my knowledge and take courses with Northern Lights.
